Quest for the #1 seed

Denver has already lost to the 2 best teams they played, almost every team chokes at least once to a lesser talent as well, such is the NFL.

Denver has a relatively easy schedule compared to the talent of their team but I believe they drop one or 2 more that they probably shouldn't lose, due to Denver being the superior team (in my eyes at least), It's hard to predict which.

I think they finish 12-4, giving us a 2 loss cushion to still hold the tie-breaker over them. If we beat Indy next Sunday they will also be at 4 losses with us owning the tie-breaker.

Cincy obviously isn't winning the North and even if they did, we already own that tie-breaker as well.

Indy is our biggest threat to the #1 seed as it stands right now, and a win next week should all but seal it for us, having wins over every division leader except for the North, who probably won't be able to match our win total.

@chiefs will be tough. The game earlier this year was pretty close and that was in Denver. Miami could beat them (or us) the way their qb and defense are playing. Hopefully we get two more losses from denvah!

If you are talking about a bye, I would probably agree with you. No AFCN team is going to win more than 12 games, meaning a win over Indy and NE would need to lose three games to not get a week off.

But there is way to much time for me to say that a win over Indy seals the #1 seed.

Certainly, but beating Indy puts us into the absolute best position to earn it (and I said it "should" give us #1 seed, not "would" give it to us). It's already ours to lose.

The biggest shame would be failing to lock up the #1 seed due to losing to an NFC team. I believe that this team takes care of business and earns it, starting with Indy, putting us in excellent position.

Indy is probably the best team remaining on our schedule and I think the Dolphins are a bigger threat than the Packers, both the Colts (secondary) and Dolphins (all around D) have strong defenses to challenge our offense, the Packers need to turn the game into a shoot out and our defense has yet to allow that to happen outside of the week 4 debacle.

Pittsburgh: Jets, Titans, Saints, Bengals, Falcons, Chiefs, Bengals

Big Ben is on a tear. Not sure if he can maintain this pace...

W/ Cinci and ATL the only road games, their schedule seems reasonable. Could go 12-4 if their D plays well and Ben keeps it up.

Tomlin's Steelers lose so many games to bad teams they should throttle.
I'm expecting more of the same down the stretch

Denver will lose 3 more games

If we lose a game before they do, I won't feel confident that we'll regain the #1 seed.
The Patriots control their own destiny here; we need to keep winning and hope Denver loses a game soon to give some breathing room.

We blew our chance to get the number one seed last year but I think we are a much better team than last years patriots

OK ,,win the next two ,, and i will guarantee we get the 1st Seed !! :) ,,,well thats my opinion that the next two are our toughest in the schedule .
Still will be tough but i am convinced we have the D to do it.

let me ask you guys this..if we have to go there again....what do you think happens?

LOL, I just remember something funny. Didn't Tony Gonzales say that the Donkies would go undefeated?

Please do not forget MIA's so-called advantage "heat" is disappearing as we speak. Also SD is not the same world beater after that huge dump they took at MIA. It is jst the matter of who gets hot during the playoff time. More so this year

The Cards having HFA in the Super Bowl, will generate some comments too.

If we're healthy I think this defense can repeat in Mile High, and Brady to Gronk will be typical of Brady to Gronk. Mild concerns would be in our ability to pound the rock. If Ridley was healthy I'd lay money down on a Patriot Superbowl win tomorrow.

If we suffer a key injury in the last half of the season, we need to be at home.

If Den beats KC and SD @ both of their places..i think they take #1 unless pats run table. Cincy will be a cake walk for them. Dalton blows.

If they lose 1...we have a good shot just can't drop more then 1....2 MAX

I wouldn't count Cincy out yet, there is still a lot of time until their game. The Bengals have great talent with the main issue being Dalton. One of the days he will actually perform well in primetime.. who says it won't be against Denver. This is the one primetime game this year where they will be underdogs at home.

Seems like they fall apart whenever there is pressure to perform but surprise often as underdog. Psychology is a weird and powerful thing.
