Finally, Peyton Manning is called to the mat

This forum needs a thread like GangGreen used to have for Sanchez.

"Peyton Manning sucks. Just sucks. (All Peyton sucks stuff here).

It can grow into the greatest thing in the history of the internet.

There were two financial settlements for this "incident" in the college locker room.

four, that we know about:

U Tennessee had to pay her off because of the botched university police "investigation"
The Mannings had to pay her off because of Peyton's actions
The Mannings had to pay her off again after a book in which they trivialized it as a prank violated the earlier settlement terms.
The Mannings had to pay her off again after an interview in which they further mischaracterized the assault as something minor.

I don't hold it against her for going for the money. She first went to he police, but they protected the football star.

I find it truly sad that folks want to discuss this now, as if it is in some way comparable to the adult criminal conduct by Rice and Peterson.

As another poster suggested, if the story were about Brady or Gronk or Edelman, we would be loudly supporting the player.
If that was my daughter, and Peyton sat his privates on my daughter's face, I'd do something that would put me in prison. And yeah, he did it while he was an adult.

People on here should start calling the local radio stations to bring this up and make a talking point once again.

Even if it just resulted in ONE person asking him about in 2014, it would get so much more play in this post-Ray Rice video era we're in now.

I find what he did to be bad, but yeah maybe someone gets a break for a momentary lapse of reason.

But he and his family then went after this woman and defamed her. They made her miserable.

This to me speaks of a kind of entitlement that lead to what he did in the first place. In other words, it wasn't a momentary act of madness.

If Manning truly did what is being said he did then it is comparable to the adult criminal conduct by Rice and Peterson. Sexual assault is no joke.

I agree. You see glimpses of it still being there when he's mic'd up. He gets acting like a spoiled baby in one sideline clip back in Indy. He, Dungy and Jeff Saturday had to make light of it so as to smooth it all over as no big deal. But it was embarrassing and looked pretty bad on him screaming and whining to his O-line. There are stories and unsubtantiated rumors that sometimes make it out. They are not favorable for how he treats the staff (on occaision) that work around him or for his off the field behavior. But when you've been worshipped for so long, many people tend to start believing their own crap doesn't stink. He's probably mature enough now to not sit naked on a girls head, but he still seems very entitled still to me.

Lets not overreach here. I guarantee every starting qb in the league has had a sideline blowup with either teammates and or coaching staff at some point. Every single one.

I agree with you. But I'm very positive that I'm not overreaching.

You wouldn't serve a day in jail if I were on the jury.
