Now, if Texans release him or he quits this will encourage other stupid fans of teams not performing well to do similar things.

Some people take the game of football too seriously. This nonsense should never happen under any circumstances.

Pathetic is the word that comes to mind.

allegedly posted on Facebook
Were they or were they not posted on FB ?
This should be known by now.

In South America they kill soccer players and referees who screw up. So unfortunately, this is not without serious precedent.

Brady would never have this problem.... He's got a moat

If I was Schaub, I'd look into purchasing a weapon in case one of those nutjobs takes it too far.

A large segment of players if not a majority possess weapons.
Some, like The Prisoner, even use them.

Nah, they hand them out at the Welcome Center when you cross in. ;-)

Unfortunately this is the kind of stuff that happens when the human gene pool is polluted with imbeciles.

They all wore their lettermen jackets and were role playing the scene from all right right moves were Tom Cruise's character trashes Craig T Nelson's house so it's all good.

I know a chick who goes to Texans games. She said hey were burning Scaub jerseys the week BEFORE, after the pick 6 vs. Seattle. This week just stoked the fire.
Football is like a religion in Texas. I mean, just walk up to any random hot texas chick and she'll be able to tell you what a 3-4 defense is. Football acumen is required high school knowledge just as much as academic subjects are.

This Texas chick I know goes,"Man, they gotta give Scaub more blitz drills."

I say to myself,"Holy crap. Where'd that come from? She doesn't pay attention in her classes but she knows about freaking blitz drills???"

That's Houston culture. (btw, they're all good looking down there. Deep gene pool fer shur. Check out the crowd at Reliant then compare it with the miscreants up in Cleveland and Green Bay. Yikes. Big diff.)

Or a person believes he or she has watched enough television and now has the knowledge of a professional coach or professional athlete implicit in confronting a NFL player.

Robert De Niro's character in The Fan comes to mind.

Fortunately, it's Texas so the neighbors will have guns if Schaub doesn't. It's a shame rifle racks in pickups aren't as prevalent these days here, otherwise Schaub could borrow a rifle and shells from his next door neighbor like borrowing a cup of sugar. :)

Why wait for someone to go any further than what these guys already did?

If he had a good home camera/security system, these guys would be in some trouble now.

With his aim Shcaub would miss and hit the neighbors house across the street.

Afterward, Schaub called a press conference to address the incident:

"I truly did not realize how much our fans cared. From now on I shall redouble efforts to ensure that I will throw no more pick-sixes the balance of this season. Furthermore, it is true that my family has not held me responsible through the course of my disastrous early season play for contributing to the team's failures. To the contrary, my wife and kids have supported, even enabled me. Consequently, the full impact of my lamentable performances did not sink in. I laud these fans for taking my family to task by photographing them and placing those pictures on Facebook. In this way they can taste the sheer embarrassment and humiliation I have caused Texans nation. Thank you, fans, for offering up some tough love at a time when I was coddled by my family. I needed it, and aim to do you proud."
