Muhammed Wilkerson guarantees win against Patriots

you do realize that russell wilson was a nobody until he played the pats

Yawn.

At home.

With 7 days of preparation.

Ignore that fact as much as you wish.

Yes, prep time is important for a rookie quarterback playing his first game on the road.

Evidently, you think 3 days prep time for a rookie QB on the road for the first time in the NFL is no problem.

You're entitled to your opinion.

And I never said "no worries". I said the Patriots ARE very lucky that they have the Jets at this time. This is the one team that the Patriots have a very good chance of beating with both hands tied behind their back. That doesn't mean it is automatic. The Patriots are exceptionally shorthanded. Thank God, they are not playing the Broncos or Falcons or Saints on Thursday. The Pats got a lucky schedule break with this.

Patriots don?t bother practicing for Jets | ProFootballTalk

Was that drivel written by Borges or Frank Moga?

In order to save everyone the need to click on ProFootballTalk's trolling, here are selections from this "informative piece":

"One of the perils of the short weeks caused by Thursday games is the lack of time to prepare.
So the Patriots, tasked with getting ready for Geno Smith and the Jets in two days, have decided not to......
.....Expect the Jets to play this for full dramatic effect, using it to fuel the no-respect engine that keeps players moving....."

Ummm, yes, numbskull PFT "writer". YOU are the one pimping this idea.

Absolutely unreal. Way to make your own news, PFT.

Expect the Jets to play this for full dramatic effect, using it to fuel the no-respect engine that keeps players moving.

Why? Because you made it news by acting like the Patriots are only not practicing because its the Jets?

You know what? The Jets have talked so often that I just don't care anymore. It is just white noise at this point.

I think it is funny that any Jets player would talk crap after barely beating a bad Bucs team, but that is the way Rex Ryan runs the team - at least until he is fired after the season.

I think the Jets actually think they won that game based off of superior game play. Can't stand the smug look on Rex's face when they scrape by and get a victory.

funny thing is a lot of commentors bought into it. And the jets are doing the same thing
Rex Ryan: Haven't seen New England Patriots run like that - ESPN Boston

Adopting a similar practice schedule to the Patriots with walkthroughs: "We'll have a little bit more than that but not much. It's about just getting through with a game and keeping your players fresh. Obviously they have to mentally be focused."

Yeah, the quote was definitely taken somewhat out of context. The interviewers said "When we talk to you next week, are you guys gonna be 2 and 0?". Wilk paused and replied "Yeah, we're gonna be 2 and 0." What else do you expect the guy to say? Have fun with it all you want, but if you listen to the entire interview, he's very respectful, in particular of Brady. This is not a brash kid with a big mouth. There are plenty of them in the league, but not this one.

I say this as a football fan, you should take nothing you read in a newspaper column or sports site blog post as truth without verification because these guys are all about manipulating facts to make a story. It's a sad truth of today's sports journalism.

Yes but the Patriots are just arrogant and don't take the rest of the NFL seriously.

this is how a jets fan talks

the game is by no means a given.......smith can give the pats problems, and the way mayo covered (or not) chandler, winslow jr. could be in for a big day

I still like the pats because the jets can't run the ball to save their lives, but this game is not going to be easy....there's much in flux with the pats right now
Yeah, 4 catches for 38 yards from a TE is surely a sign of terrible coverage.
I love how we expect the other team to never be able to make a single play, and when they do we suck.

Wrong.

Our OL is superior to theirs (with Mangold out).

Our RB's are FAR superior to theirs (even without Vereen).

Our QB is Faaaaaar superior to the rookie who has only 3 days to prepare for a game.

The Jets are not "healthy". Their best WR Kerley is out with a concussion and Mangold is out.

Do the Pats have roster injury "challenges" right now? You bet. There are 30 teams in the NFL that could beat them with Amendola, Dobson, Sudfeld, Gronkowski and Vereen out injured right now.

Then there are the Jets.

I forgot that Kerley and Mangold are hurt, that evens the playing field somewhat. Kerley is one of those pain in the ass slot receivers that always seems open.

LOL at the moronic eye rolling.......fact is smith made good use of his TE against the bucs......

and yes, it is a problem if your LB can't stick with a mediocre TE

Rex is backing it up......now it is officially a joke

The Blitz with Jeff Howe & Karen Guregian | Boston Herald

I read the transcript expecting to laugh but didn't.

Ryan didn't say anything offensive or moronic and speaks sense when he says he expects and prepares as if he is going to win.

I am actually surprised that he thinks TB is the best (after how he trashed him a few seasons back) and believe that he respects us.

I would love to him as our DC.

Really?

You think he didn't have options on that answer?

That says volumes for you.

I love the Jets and their fans - - they are great entertainment, and the best thing possible to keep our enterttainment level up this week is for them to have pulled out a win in their first on Sunday.

I'd pass.......just because its rex

what personal foul?? Gee-NO!'s feet were in bounds when he was hit....there are pics of it all over the net. They were gifted a shot they didn't deserve. Crap happens.

I'd guess about a third of all out-of-bounds Personal Foul penalties are called when the player has not actually yet stepped out of bounds when contact is made. Regardless of what the rule says, that's the way they call it so that's the way you have to play it.

Wow, Rex Ryan is talkin all kinds of ****. LOL. Can't say I'm not excited for Thursday, even before this trash talkin started.

Edit: Is there a way to kick Wednesday's ass and make this week only 6 days instead of 7? I want my football now.
