The more **** they talk and the more people who do it just means the Pats win will be more enjoyable.

agree completely. it will be the high school bully getting the crap kicked out of him by the geekiest nerd.

Cant wait:rocker::rocker::rocker:

To spell it out for those who are missing the double-entendre:

Wes Welker could stop wearing his uniform if he has a season-ending injury.

Wes Welker could also stop wearing his uniform if the Patriots lose Sunday.

Bart's playing the same plausible deniability game as Wes was, but with a more sinister subtext.

In Wes' case, the two possibilities (in each instance) were:

1) Heh heh. Foot. Heh heh, and
2) Figures of speech related to Pats' own performance.

In Scott's case, the two possibilities were:

1) Heh heh, Wes will wear street clothes because he will be golfing when the Pats lose, see what I did there? or

2) I will cripple Wes Welker.

This definitely qualifies as upping the ante. It's also thug-funny because he has exactly the same out that Welker does (How do you get that from what I said?)

And of course, it's not funny to the other team's fans, but what else is new?

are you related to bart scott? quit defending him, that makes no sense. he threatened one of the best players on the team.

Let them keep talking....it doesn't mean a damn thing in the end. The Jets are the best trash talking team in the league...as far as how the team has played though...they have been far less consistent.

Even Jet fans wish the players would just shut their mouths. If the fans are smarter then the players I can't imagine how bad they'll play on sunday

Funny dennis byrd apparently gave tge team a pep talk in the same day scott threatened welkers career.

my fellow pats fans, we are about to witness greatness seeing our PAts take these quotes and stick them 20 feet up the Jets ass is going to bring a tear to my eye. These fools are just straight trying to piss the Patriots off.

How anyone could take what Welker was saying as trash is comical. That's someone having fun, saying someone's days in a jersey are numbered is talking ****.

How you get "defending him" is a mystery to me, but a lot of things I read here are mysteries to me. Welcome to the board, and enjoy the many, varying opinions you'll find here.

From your lips to God's ears, as my mom use to say.

We do have to remember the other team gets paid too... as unlikely as it is, it would SO suck to lose this game now. Less than 24 hours now... :rocker:

I think both Bart Scott and Wes Welker along with the rest should have kept their traps shut. I love Welker as a player but he does his team no favors by playing the same war of words game that many of the Jets are playing.

All it takes is one good shot at Brady's knee or maybe Wilfork or McCourty or Mayo or Mankins to put this team into a tailspin.

The NFL will let it milk for the publicity but not so far as to allow threats. They've done that, now it's time for these players to just stuff it down inside and play the game. I heard an analyst talk about "grudges" during NFL games. That sure, for a play or two, you get amped up, but over the long haul of an exhausting game, it's hard to keep that kind of hate and rage burning when you have a job to do. After 40-50 snaps, will Cromartie fell the same way? Will Welker or Scott? My take is they will probably be mentally and physically drained.

I really don't see how Rex Ryan loses in this, I think he's got a bit of a media whore aspect to him, but if he loses the game, he was supposed to lose it. If he wins, he was seen as fearless and bold. The guy is a PR machine, or maybe a GM's giant headache, for just getting cameras in his face.

My concern is Brady being healthy and not the subject of some head hunt. Nailing Brady hard the wrong way could end his career and cost the Patriots the next five to ten years of this franchises future.

Scott is possibly the most overrated linebacker in the NFL.

I would say Welker crossed the line if he made fun of Ryan's private sex life, but it's not private. If you're going to post something like that on youtube, it's fair game. It was dumb of Cro to say what he said in public like he did, but I don't have a problem with the statement in general. I'm sure the feeling is mutual, but to threaten a guy like that whether it was meant as a silly pun or not is crossing the line.

I'm also sick of hearing how smart Ryan is by putting the attention on himself by saying it's him vs BB. How's that working out? And that's BS anyway, after the Indy game he said "I" finally got him. Was he trying to protect his players from the media after a win too? He wants it to be about him because he's a narcissist plain and simply

Isn't ironic that the two defensive players who gave up the most TDs in the last game are doing the most trash talking. Don't forget Cromartie gave up the Branch and Tate TDs.

He also stood there and watched Welker score.

You guys should be happy. Every time Scott opens his cakehole the Jets choke away the game that follows. He's like some illiterate bad luck charm for them.
