To this point all the talk has been about McCourty winning the DROY award (and rightfully so). He has stepped in as a rookie and done a masterful job. However, Gronkowski has somewhat quietly put together one of the better rookie performances on the other side of the ball. He now has ten reception TD's on the season. In addition, he's been a mauler when asked to block. He's done it all.

My question: Like McCourty, should he be in the discussion for the ROY award?

He's been great, but it's gotta go to Bradford. Bradford took an awful team and has them a win away from a playoff spot (LOL).

I hear you. I totally didn't even think about Bradford and the season that he put together.

It's not likely but I wouldn't be surprised if GRONK got a vote or two for All-Pro TE.

gronk has been great. but theres no way hes beating out bradford. or mike williams for that matter.

should finish top 3-5 though

Should be Bradford. Bradford has done a remarkable job with pretty much nothing. His receivers are awful.

Gronk has been awesome though, and I think he is one of the best TEs in the league (behind Gates + Lewis). Has a very bright future ahead of him

the patriots have either the 1st or 2nd choices for DRY in Suh and McCourty

same thing for ORY in Gronk and Bradford

our guys prob take 2nd spot in both

Bradford deserves it, but Gronk deserves to be in the discussion.

This rookie class of tight ends is absolutely incredible. Gresham and Moeaki have been terrific too.

Monster game by Gronk. He's the first rookie TE to catch 10 TD passes since who? Does that go all the way back to Ditka, football statisticians?

Yes.

Ditka is the only TE in NFL history to catch more passes as a rookie.

And Gronk sets the Patriots record for TDs for a TE, surpassing Ben Coates's 9 from 1996.

Jimmy Graham also doing a great job.

So pretty much everybody except the two TEs the Ravens took right after we scooped them for Gronk & Hernandez? :D

Haha... Now if we can only unleash Gronk and Hernandez on the Ravens.

Andrew Quarless from GB, Clay Harbor from PHI, Michael Hoomanawanui from STL, have also done well this year. TE was very deep.

Sam Bradford certainly deserves it. He has put a team who went 1-15 in with a shot at a .500 season and thats without Donnie Avery who was on IR before the season began and they lost the best WR left to IR after only 5 games I think it was in Mark Clayton.

I've looked at his stats every week and he has been throwing the ball to anywhere between 7 and 10 different receivers every week. I seen a couple of his games and he looked really, really good in all of them. I think the Rams will be back as serious contenders as long as he is there fit and healthy.
