Nice pickup billdog3484 to add to your impressive draft so far. I like this kid a lot even though there are some who don't like him but he will do well in Seatle.

I like Mike Thomas for the Pats, but didn't expect him to go quite this high.

thank you. yah i think hed be a good pickup for Seattle. Who knows what they are going to get out of branch. I know they have Housh, but they lost engram. I dont expect thomas to be quite as explosive as branch, nor quite as talented at catching the football like Engram, but I think he has a lot of attributes which will enable him to succeed in the West Coast Offense Mora will likely utilize.

I chose Ricky Jean Francois because in the late 3rd round there isn't much to pick from. He is really a boom or bust pick, and it's not really known if he is DE or DT, but the Falcons need depth at both so he can be used either way. He is also a good ST which is probably where he'll make his niche year 1.

Chicago Bears have aquired Jay Cutler WOW!!!!!!

The Chicago Bears pulled the big upset Thursday afternoon by acquiring Denver Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler, a source told ESPN.com.
The Broncos confirmed the move.

To acquire Cutler, the Bears had to give up quarterback Kyle Orton and first-round picks in 2009 and 2010, a source said.
To complete the trade, the Broncos had to give back an undisclosed draft choice in a later round.
The Bears beat out the Redskins, Buccaneers, Lions, Titans and other teams to get land the 25-year-old Pro Bowl quarterback.

The Broncos had been asking for at least two first-round choices.

Recent reports are that they are on the verge of signing Orland Pace, so instead of go OT I'm thinking OG and Kraig Urbik.

Techinically that pick was just traded away for Cutler anyway lol but since it also involves the 1st round pick I think we'll have to disregard it in our mock.

Perhaps doing a 2nd mock w/o trades would be best now?

I went with Caldwell, because he can play guard and that's a need area for Carolina.

The Steelers just made their pick... so its compensation time!

Would someone be able to take over my picks for the rest of the draft. I will be out of the country for a week starting this coming Tuesday. I traded my 4th rounder, so I don't think I'll be around to make the 5th round selections.

I was actually considering stopping after this round.

We could start over with new GMs assigned over the weekend and then begin a new 2 round mock with NO trades. What do you guys think?

that'd be cool. perhaps we could include a few others that are here often enough. how would you have it work? would we just pick in order 1, 2, 3? what about for the Pats picks?
