Is the KC game being televised nationally?

I hope so. I'm thinking of making a west coast swing.

Good stuff. I'm doing 2 or 3 games in Foxboro and the Indy game (and the Supa Dupa Bowl of course). If you find your way to Foxboro, let me know - I'll try and make the trip up from Atlanta and buy you a drink or two....or three...

For those that are considering the cost of Slingbox versus the cost of other options (Sunday Ticket, sports bar, etc.) you may also want to keep in mind that with Slingbox you pay once and only once. With Sunday Ticket you're paying every year, forever, - currently $300 per year. At a sports bar you're paying every week, forever - probably about $150 per year or more for the games not on regular TV - and if it's not a Pats fans bar, you probably will get stuck with audio from another game rather than the Pats game.

The only reason I haven't purchased a Slingbox is that I found a Pats bar close to me that is very inexpensive, completely filled with Pats fans, and I've made many friends there. I've had Sunday Ticket, but I couldn't continue to justify the expense for what amounted to being able to watch about eight additional games per year.

I knew that Phelps dude was too good to be real.

I have known that for a while now. Anyone can see he isn't that great of a swimmer, heck Ocho Cinco could even beat him in a swimming race. :D

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet but why not just go to Peel Pub?

I just checked a online TV guide here and they are saying we have here in Charlotte this wonderful game
New York Jets at Miami Dolphins..next week
ARGHHHH

I've got the same problem. I'll be at college and I'm desperately trying to find a way to watch the pats games. I tried that myp2p stuff, and though I'm reasonably competent with computers, that **** just confused the hell out of me.

I need someone to explain this Slingbox thing to me.

Sounds like a plan! Hopefully I'll have a work excuse to get back to RI or Montreal around the same time as a home game.

PS - the Slingbox is like a modem that connects between a cable box and a router, and then with the correct username and password you can access that modem and see whatever is on the cable from any computer with an internet connection in the world. I'm not such a great explainer, slingmedia.com does a better job of it.

What's that?
.........
PJ, About 10 kilometers southwest of your home, there's a sports bar called China Grove in Mudu which has the NFL ticket and $1.50 16 oz. drafts (Bud Light or Coors Light) during the games. They even have a jukebox with the Doobie Brothers on it...Jackson 2

HOLY CRAP, are you serious?? You've been there? I know Mudu a bit, I'll have to find it.

I wonder if they open early/stay open late for NFL games.

I'm stuck with lord favre and the rats/fins..........let the ballwashing commence! I think it's time to speed up our move back home and set up interviews so I can see week 1.

I'm a graduate of Mud U.

certainly you've heard about the Raging Mud Ducks?

Been there? Hell, I grew up there before I moved to Whitinsville, MA. Great wings at the China Grove, along with the drafts. Sorry, PJ, I'm not serious. Just joggin' your leg a bit...

I've been googling for this place for an hour! No wonder why I couldn't find it. Now I must kill you.

Good one, you did fool me. There are actually places like you've described around here, just not with the NFL Ticket. And Mudu was random enough to be a possibility. Well played.
