hes the best of the rest....

Wow, Tampa & Miami couldn't work it out. I wonder if this means now Taylor will remain a Dolphin? Just please don't let him go to the Colts, Cowboys, or Chargers.

HUIZENGA: TAYLOR “DESERVES” TRADE
Posted by Michael David Smith on April 26, 2008, 8:39 p.m.

We know the report that the Miami Dolphins had agreed to trade Jason Taylor to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 52nd pick in the draft was wrong because the 52nd pick has come and gone. But we still don’t know quite what’s going on with the much-discussed possibility that the Dolphins will trade Taylor.

A strange story in the Sun-Sentinel says that Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga thinks the team owes it to Taylor to trade him to a team that can play in the Super Bowl.

“He deserves that. If we can get him placed in a spot where he can go to the big game, then we would do that,” the Sun-Sentinel reports that Huizenga said on ESPN Radio 760 AM. “We’ve had a lot of conversation but we never really got down to saying trading him. That never happened. What’s the best thing for Jason? He’s got a big career ahead of him yet…He should go where he can go to the big game.”

Apparently Huizenga doesn’t think his own team can go to the Super Bowl.

But the strange thing about the Sun-Sentinel story is that it cites “an Internet report” as saying Taylor was traded, and then continues, “Taylor was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for three draft picks according to a report on NFL Network.”

We’ve been watching NFL Network all day, and we can assure you, NFL Network reported no such thing. We do not know which “Internet report” the Sun-Sentinel is referring to.

If by some miracle the Pats got him i'd be...... I don't even know. Don't hold your breath though.

The first two rounds have now passed, and Taylor is still a Dolphin.

Who has the most picks in the 3rd round? The New England Patriots (tied at 3 with the Baltimore Ravens)

Who knows.

As the second round was coming to a close, I was wondering when the Pats were going to make a move up to select Quentin Groves. Well, they didn't and Jacksonville ruined my day. So I asked myself, why the hell didn't New England make a move for him? They need to get younger in the pass rush, right? I guess they liked Wheatley better and I feel the Pats will somehow get Taylor tommorow.

For what it's worth, the Ravens last 3rd round pick is a compensatory pick that they can't trade.

I say trade 1 of thier early third round picks and a 7th

We are the only playoff team with any decent amount of picks left....Jacksonville shot its wad to get Groves. Maybe they go back to the hotel tonite and tell him to make his own deal....I dont think we would have a problem trading for a conditional pick.

hes the best of the rest....

That'd be great - maybe it would start a trend and the Jets and Bills would give us all of their best tradeable players as well.

I think we will know very soon (Oakland's 3) if we get Taylor. I am drooling, this would be over the top draft.
