Brady is "Prince Charles": Antonio Pierce

"exactly who or what is an Antonio Pierce?"

It is this type of Patriot fan arrogance that pisses me off. The Patriots fans are worse than Yankee fans.

well in our defense we have won more recently. Have fun with your one and done in the playoffs. Do you have any idea who your head coach next year will be?

The Giants don't have a loud mouths. What Antonio Pierce said was true. Tom Brady does act like he is "all that." He didn't say anything that wasn't true. Do you people really think what people say in an interview really impacts the results of a game? I want to know if you were this arrogant when the Patriots were going to move to Hartford or St. Louis?

Why are the football Gods so good to us? It seems like we have a "Pierce" every week.

Thank you Mr Pierce!

Ummm.... Someone named Smith felt the impact of his words in a game...

Let me put this Saturday in perspective for you:

The Giants are a mediocre team led by an underachieving, incompetent QB who was drafted #1 because of nepotism.

The nation (and the world) are watching this game on 3 networks simulcasted because of the New England Patriots.

Your team's name tomorrow night is "FILL IN THE BLANK". They are meaningless.

.........How's THAT for (rightful) arrogance?

All am saying is that asking who or what an Antonio Pierce is rude. The guy is a good player and is doing better than most of us.

Did you guys miss this part....

"I think that's a compliment. I don't see it as a negative, honestly," Pierce said with a smile. "Prince Charles has got the world at his hands over there where he's at. I think (Brady) has put up an MVP season. Right now he's the top guy in the league as far as making plays. You can't call him the king until he wins it all."

Pierce wasn't being condescending. He views Brady as the top of the NFL, and he views his job to dethrone him. And he is right.

Then that's what you should have said, dude. And I don't think he's doing any better than me. But then I don't play professional football so I won't compare my life to his!

The Giants don't have a loud mouths. What Antonio Pierce said was true. Tom Brady does act like he is "all that."

Nope. You're confusing "is treated like" with "acts like." I think that's a lot of the problem, especially with short-sighted NFL fans. They see ESPN and NFLN tongue-bathing all things Patriot, and project that onto how the New England players "are acting." It's B.S.

Use your head.

Well I don't really control the outcome of football games so who knows what happens. I watch football and hope the Giants win. If they don't so be it. I have been a Giants fan all my life and won't change because we lose a game the Patriots. The Giants are not a "fill in the blank." The Giants are a proud franchise who's late owner Wellington Mara proudly owned. The Giants are not some "Johnny Come Lately" franchise. The Giants have won 6 world championships (1927, 1936, 1938, 1956, 1986, and 1990). They have also been to the playoffs more than any team in history. The Giants owner Wellington Mara was instrumental in making the NFL what it today. Revenue Sharing was one of his ideas. Mara thought if the Giants had no one to play, than the Giants would be out of business. He cared about the NFL first than the Giants. Giants also have a wait list for season tickets that is over 100,000 people long. They have been sold out for years. We have season ticket holders that can trace their tickets back to the Polo Grounds. They are not a "fill in the blank" team. The Giants are the reason the Patriots exist. Remember the fans here used to be Giants fans before there even was a Patriots.

Hey, I know who he is. He's the guy that used a freakin' air horn instead of fielding questions about how awful their defense was playing.

He's the Giants in a nutshell...no leadership, no heart, no humility.

And that's how you should be! It's good to be proud of your team and your fanhood.

That's all we're doing here, too, yanno.

The Giants are the reason the Patriots exist. Remember the fans here used to be Giants fans before there even was a Patriots.
That may be true for SOME Patriot fans, certainly not ALL of them, since many Pats fans were born after the Patriots came into existence and other Pats fans were never Giant fans to begin with.

Remember the fans here used to be Giants fans before there even was a Patriots.

And look how many jumped just as soon as there was something to jump to.

Who cares if the Giants won their last title nearly two decades ago? Everyone who's watching Saturday's game is watching it for the Pats. Maybe they want them to win, maybe they want them to lose...but there's a lot of people who don't even know who the Pats are playing.

Of course not.

Tom Brady does act like he is "all that."
Act? He IS all that.

He didn't say anything that wasn't true. Do you people really think what people say in an interview really impacts the results of a game?
Do we think Pierce spewing absurdity will motivate the Patriots? Absolutely.

Let me give you a hint about who the Pats are playing...

THE NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS

We know your history. Many of our older fans still resent being forced fed Giant games in the 60's and 70's instead of being able to watch the Pats.

Tomorrow night YOU get to feel that special "What about us" feeling.

Suffah! :D

Loudmouth Pierce was being condescending and ignorant.

Brady has won 3 SuperBowls. Been MVP in two of them. King of the NFL.

lol, arrogance? thats funny....

but like someone mentioned....it does not matter WHICH team the pats were playing, the giants really are fill in the blank, u just got lucky to be playing the pats when they try to go 16-0....

(or unlucky, depending how u see it, considering ull have to congratulate an undefeated team at the end of the game)

Just like Shula:

'They deserve an asterisk. But, since I'm classy, I will be the first to call Belichick to congratulate him'.

There's a word for that kind of backhanded "I don't see my remarks as negative". It rhymes with Pullspit.

The Giants will never have to feel the "What about us" feeling. They play in the New York Area. New York is the biggest city in the world. The Giants will always be recognized.
