"The only thing that bothers me a little bit is that I did it during the strike year," Rice says to the AP. "It was 12 games for me. If he had done it in 12 games, I wouldn't have a problem with it at all. But I'm still going to congratulate him and do all of that.
"But I'm surprised the league is taking it upon themselves to give him 16 games to do it."
Nobody wants another to be better than us but the truth can hurt us.
1- The league does not give Randy 16 games to do it. It gives everybody 16 games to do it. Unfortunately, Randy is the MAN.
2- It's too bad that Rice only did it in 12 games. My only question is how many TDs is he going to receive if he is given 16 games to do it.? If Rice thinks he is the BEST, why doesn't he give us a number and we will see if Randy Moss matchs his number.
I think it is a fair question. My point is it doesn't matter how many games it takes you to set a new record and as long as you can do it in a season, it counts. Does it really matter if i break your record in the next 50 years.? Not really.
Pats is the GREATEST team in NFL history because of many SB rings and new individual records in the next comming weeks.
