According to Cold Hard Football Facts, the Steelers have have the easiest schedule in football this year:

"Next: at New England. The 2007 Steelers aren’t used to teams like New England; according to Jeff Sagarin’s strength of schedule ratings, the Steelers have faced the easiest schedule in football this year. "

This is the direct link.

What do you mean? They haven't lost to a top 10 team all year.

Oh yeah...they haven't played a top 10 team all year.

Carry on.
Actually, the last time I checked (a couple of weeks ago) they hadn't even played a 10 SIXTEEN team. What that means is that some of the teams they beat (e.g. Cleveland) were playing awful when the Steelers beat them, but have since moved up in the rankings.

I am not afraid of the Steelers whatsoever.

Cute list. However, Cold Hard Football Facts is more accurate. Again, This is the direct link. Their stats don't lie.

Your faith in stats is cute. Stats can be forumlated to prove almost any point. The Steelers have the #1 Defense and it's not because of their schedule and it's not because of the rain.

Remember, your defense got tore up by consecutive recycled QB's these last two weeks. That too, is a fact that does not lie.

By far the most accurate stats outside of maybe Las Vegas bookie stats are the Football Outsider stats.

What ESPN says is irrelevant. They don't look at strength of opponent or any other factor, just raw data. Your raw data looks better when it is against Miami in the mud than against a good team on a normal field. That applies to us, to the Squealers, and to all teams. You need a system to compare data amoung teams. That is what Vegas does, and any other source worth a damn.

The only thing we can derive from raw data is that the Steelers are pretty good on defense.

Coldhardfootball stats are going to be better than ESPN as well.

Another complete tool, probably getting drunk.

Talks about stats being cute and then that the Squealers have the number one defense. I guess his opinion is based on random conjecture?

You can't down talk stats and then claim the Squealers are number one at the same time. How do you know they are number one without stats, wise guy?

And don't tell me it is because you watched every game played by every football team this season and made a mental comparison. Your reliance on stats is really goddamn cute.

ok, smartass ---- indy held us to 24, baltimore held us to 27, and we held the #2 offense (indy) to 20, so the best defense in the nfl should be able to hold the pats to under 20 this week.

Actually, IMO all that is bunch of crap. You know as well as I that the "experts" are about as right in thier speculations as I am or you are. They use those fancy numbers and I don't. Case in point? The Patriots were dominant last year. Yet they still found a way to lose to the Phins. Who saw that coming? Who saw the Steelers losing to the Jets???? Contrary to what some may think, 3-4 inch mud, slows an offense down, thus limiting scoring (PIT-MIA). The longer you lose the greater odds that you'll win the next game (Phins). The longer you win the greater the odds you'll lose the next game (Pats). I do believe that. It's not concrete, but it's more or less been proven.

First of all, I was posting a reply to someone else. Second, you don't know me well enough to call me smart@ss. Regardless you need to chill with the name calling.

I don't care if you score 75 and our defensive ranking sinks to 33rd. As long as we score 76+.

We're talking about football, not playing craps. Look, the Steelers do have a great defense. I'd rank them 3rd, behind the Colts and Cowboys. And, yea, we've played them both, in their respective house. I don't see the Steelers posing a bigger challenge to our offense.

that is the single stupidest thing I've ever seen on this board.
you sound like a broken down horseplayer.

Well at least we can see that you have nothing at all concrete to back up what you say.

Like statistics? lol, and you call me a tool. You must be part of the know it all pepsi generation. How much faith do you think your brain child coach puts into stats. So if I say the Steelers are 9-3 I'm a stat person now? If I were you I'd start asking god why he gave you a tiny brain.

You too EOM.
