Bet that number really jumps if you expand it to the final four. I might look when I have time. This may be of interest only to me - 7 out of 12 1st time SB winning QBs (well 6.5 if you count the Foles situation) since TB12's first were on their rookie contracts. Emphasizes the importance ofgetting lucky as all heckdrafting well.
Avg of current contract during win in millions
01 ~0.3 TB12 (Rookie contract)
02 ~5.6 Brad Johnson *Not orig team
05 ~3.7 Big Ben (Rookie contract)
06 ~14.0 Peyton
07 ~7.5 Eli (Rookie contract)
09 ~10.0 Brees *Not orig team
10 ~10.6 Rodgers
12 ~6.0 Flacco (Rookie contract)
13 ~0.8 RWilson (Rookie contract)
17 ~6.5 Wentz (Rookie contract) - Foles 4.0
19 ~4.0 Mahomes (Rookie contract)
21 ~27.0 Stafford *Not orig team
I agree with you.I think McCall has a chance to be the next herbert!
I always worry about the longevity of small scrambling QBs. It seems like they get hurt early and often, and never last. Now Purdy is lost for all of 2023 and maybe forever. Tua will not last. Jackson is starting to have injuries every year. Etc.Dorian Thompson-Robertson, you watch, he’s gonna be a good NFL QB. Great arm, can run and keep plays alive with his legs, is a great leader. Had 88 career td passes and 28 career TD runs.

Where did you see that Purdy was lost for 2023?
Recent news articles are saying he'll be back for Training Camp. He didn't need Tommy John surgery.

Your not saying anything that wasn't in the article I posted. So what about the surgery. It's mentioned that it hadn't been done last week. That doesn't change anything and it certainly doesn't support your claim that Purdy is lost for the year.I do not know where I saw it. It was in a JG article. It said that Purdy's surgery has still not happened because the swelling is still there, so the injury is most likely worse than thought. I read 5 to 10 articles per day and can not remember the source every time.
Another one that reminds me of Purdy or Zappe. Just enough arm talent to make a few NFL throws a game. Pretty good pre snap ID'g pressure or any games up front a defense might be playing. Whether it's blitz off the edge, second level pressure. He's pretty cool from what I've seen. Hes able to manipulate a defense on certain occasions - mostly on designed plays but he's sells them well.@BaconGrundleCandy what's your take on QB Jake Haener he throws a sweet ball. I think if he was taller he'd be in the mix love his overall game.
There IS evidence of his existence. Claiming that there is no way to be traced as someone's descendent is also incorrect.Ragnar Lothbrok is semi-mythical. It's believed that the campaigns of a number of different Viking leaders who invaded Britain and Ireland are attributed to Ragnar Lothbrok, as a sort of boogie man character.
There is no evidence of his existence, and definitely no way he could be traced as anyone's direct descendant. His "sons" however, were all real people
If they could reunite him with Cropper or Nikko Remigio I'd be all for it.Another one that reminds me of Purdy or Zappe. Just enough arm talent to make a few NFL throws a game. One of the few mid round rookies I'd want here.
