Kevin Everett is the TE from Buffalo who had the spine injury and had to be taken off in an ambulance. Jay Glazer just reported that Everett had to be taken in for emergency surgery.

Re: OT: Please say a prayer for Kevin Everett

As down as I am about the Jets and their horrible performance today, things could always be worse.

This puts things in perspective. I pray he will be ok.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — The Buffalo Bills lost three regulars to injury in their season opener against Denver on Sunday, including tight end Kevin Everett, who was knocked cold and taken off the field in an ambulance.

Everett injured his neck and was transported to a hospital.

Everett fell immediately to the ground and showed no signs of consciousness after a helmet-to-helmet hit when he tackled Denver's Domenik Hixon during a kickoff to open the second half. Everett was placed on a backboard with his head and body immobilized, and carefully loaded into an ambulance at the Broncos 30.

everyone please keep this man in your prayers

Re: Keep Buffalo TE Keith Everett in your prayers

From Peter King...

Everett is undergoing emergency spinal cord surgery...

Once again keep him in your prayers.

Re: OT: Please say a prayer for Kevin Everett

Don't sound good. According to King he is in emergency surgery.

Re: OT: Please say a prayer for Kevin Everett

My prayers go out to him. It is my hope that he experiences a fast recovery and his injury doesn't affect his quality of life.

Re: OT: Please say a prayer for Kevin Everett

Google news just saying he's still in surgery. No word on whether he ever regained consciousness or motor ability.

Re: Keep Buffalo TE Keith Everett in your prayers

My bad, I did not see the other post with this story.
