In terms of the draft pick we got, I think its fair. But a player would have been nice.
How is that fair? He's playing worsen his value since he got here?? What the heck happened here?

And we couldn't get Gordon out of them

compensatory 3rd round..so basically this is an early 4th rounder

Collins has played horribly this season but ... only a 3rd?

BB puts a lot on the team to deal with this during the middle of the season and still continue to play top ball.
Locker room impact is the most crucial.

What the crap is going on? We just traded our best cover line backer for next years 3rd round pick? He was worth at least a 2nd even a 1st rounder! You don't find linebackers that big and athletic and that has good vision...
If it was contract related why not wait until the end of the season? We are supposed to have the best players on this team to give Brady another shot at the Lombardi. I really liked Jamie Collins....

This probably explains on why Roberts got more snaps than Collins yesterday...
This is annoying me because we gave away one of our best players to a crappy team where decent to good players careers come to an end.

What a downer. Is a third really worth not having him for the rest off the way this year?

Like all of you, this doesn't make sense to me at first glance. A guy who would absolutely be a contributing factor in a Super Bowl run is traded for a 3rd round pick when we would get a compensatory pick anyway?

They have to be very satisfied with Roberts/intrigued by Van Noy and disappointed with Collins performance/attitude in the locker room. Otherwise, it makes zero sense. As always, though, in BB I trust.

I can understand the outcry about this move. Although I don't like the trade myself BB has proved many times in the past the moves like this actually benefit the team. So IN BILL I TRUST.

Some of the tweets say we got a compensatory 3rd. Does this mean it's guaranteed to be at the end? Or are they just using compensatory in a different way from how the NFL uses it?

Man this better not be a killer for us. ************ Bill, what a major ballsy move. Among the biggest in regard to trades.

I don't get it...if Collins had walked in free agency, wouldn't we get a third round compensatory pick anyway?
