Court denies Brady a re-hearing!!!

I know what I will say will be perceived as blashphemous by some (and I have feel dirty for mentionning it), but what if Jimmy runs the table while looking GREAT doing it? Do we go back to Tom or turn the team over to him full time?

I probably would go back to Tom, but would BB? I mean, BB knows when to move on. Brady is the GOAT and he will always be my biggest hero, b ut still

It's Tom's team......

That's silly.

Brady and the team get screwed by the league and you keep pumping money into the league coffers?

Give me a break with that righteous crap.

Did you watch the games in 2014? 2015? Nothing has changed over the last two years.

I'm still going to watch the games because I want to be entertained and I love the team. Brady or no Brady.

Since CA2 rejected rehearing, it is reasonable to assume they will reject granting a stay.

So then it'll be up to SCOTUS. If SCOTUS grants a stay pending their decision on whether or not to hear the case, Brady will very likely play the entirety of the season. If they don't grant a stay, Brady will be suspended.

And like @TommyBrady12 said, it won't be easy to get a stay out of SCOTUS because there has to be a good change that certiorari would be granted and a good chance of a win on the merits. So not looking good :(

Come on, Chin thought the "evidence" was "compelling, if not overwhelming".

It's not what I have to tell myself, it's what I heard.

***holes are like opinions......everyone has one

none of it ever sounded 'fair' to me, but then again, I don't think anyone involved in the process gives a **** about fair....they give a **** only about what they want

the consequences are not as broad as you say......this is one case, it is not going to set a precedence for GM to start throwing out employees because they farted in the parking lot
Hence the word "almost".

These Judges are a f'in disgrace. They should all resign because they don't belong in their positions. Punishing a person for doing nothing wrong. Allowing a Commissioner to violate the laws of arbitration and be capricious.. It's ridiculous..

What are the chances this goes to the Supreme Court.

LOL well yeah, that's what I mean when I say we "knew" more about the facts of this whole fiasco than the judges did

if you sign a contract that allows you to get f*cked in the ass, and then you get f*cked in the ass, don't be surprised

if you go by the book, these judges weren't supposed to give a **** about the facts.....just the process

"Justice" is a very loose term, even in democraties. "Justice" is what the rich and powerful call "maitaining their power over the people".

Yet another proof of how "justice" is such a shallow concept.

Second Circuit reasonably concluded that the NFLPA is not entitled to a benefit for which it did not bargain. Unfair to him, but Brady is the necessary collateral damage resulting from that conclusion. Pats will be fine with Jimmy. That's 4 games where we don't have to worry about an injury to Brady.

Bummer. Like many others, I had this as no better than 50--50 and only that high because of the presence of Olson and the weight of the Amicus Briefs.

If I were Brady, I'd listen now to one person and one person only: Ted Olson. Why?

One. He's been around this block several times. His assessment of the likelihood of success in (a) getting SCOTUS to hear the case and (b) getting Justice Ginsburg to stay the Suspension is what Brady is paying him for.

Two. Olson is not some young gun trying to make a name for himself; he made his name in Gore v. Bush and as SG.

Three, Olson is way past the point of thinking in terms of a few hundred thousand in extra billings. The hit to his reputation from pursuing what he knows is a hopeless case is worth more to him than whatever extra billings he could squeeze out of Brady and the NFLPA in a Quixotic Appeal. If he tells Brady that there is a reasonable chance of getting SCOTUS to hear the case and getting Ginsburg to Stay the Suspension, he will mean it. If he tells him the chances are poor, he will mean it.

In other words, Olson's opinion on this is worth more than all of our opinions combined and will be the final word when he and Johnson and Dupree form their recommendation.

Whether Brady takes that advice or not is another matter.

Goodell wins, no supreme court cares about football air pressure.

It's over, it's Jimmy G time for 4 games.

It's not about the air pressure anymore. It's about the Commissioner, acting as the arbitrator, not following arbitration law. It's about him being capricious in his duties as arbitrator. It's about him dealing his own brand of industrial justice..

if you sign a contract that allows you to get f*cked in the ass, and then you get f*cked in the ass, don't be surprised

To be fair, I'm not sure they envisioned Goodell being an a—hole in ways that his predecessors were not.
