Great. Now he and Vollmer can get wiener schnitzel on the menu at Davios at Patriot Place.

I saw earlier today he was expected to sign elsewhere. Thought it might be here. Don't know anything about him as a player but I wonder what it says about him that this was so predictable.

giants fans say he sucks ass.. so i'd assume he's just camp fodder

I don't foresee him making the team, especially since I assume the Pats will take a late-round flyer on a DT. Nothing wrong with a bit of TC competition, though.

They were using him as a D-Tackle, his true position will be on the O-line :)

Sign the beast ...

Probably heard of him but people who like the measurables should look up Moritz Boehringer in this years draft. Big Sleeper apparently.

NFL: Markus Kuhn wechselt zu Sebastian Vollmers New England Patriots - sportal.de

yet another contender for the 5th DT roster spot after Knighton, Brown, Branch and Easley

Yeah, Chris Jones can't be feeling too great about his chances at the moment, particularly after this signing.

For a second there I thought you wrote Chris Long.

FWIW, they liked Jones enough that they let him get married on the 50-yard-line at Gillette . . . during the bye week . . . as a rookie.

Another point worth noting is that he hit the playing time incentive so he gets paid like an RFA this season. I could see them signing him to a two-year deal to reduce his cap hit.

$1.7M is a lot to pay our #5 DT.

The team likes him or he would be long gone.

Perhaps, he could stay under a lower salary. Even then, most folks her would prefer a draftee.
