I could be getting mixed up here, but the guy wasn't playing great as it was. I think the interior needs a better vet than him at this point, although him at least getting a chance to show he's got something left in the tank next year can't hurt I suppose.

Wendell is done
He was ill this season and I don't think he was able to get properly conditioned when he came back, and ultimately went on IR. I don't know if he can return to form next year, but I don't have reason to think definitively that he can't.

That sucks, hope he gets a cheap 1 year deal if he's healthy. Liked how he played in St Louis.

He's the same type of player as Edelman, Dola, and Martin though.

Need a threat that takes the top off of defenses

I guess it doesn't hurt at least having him in camp next year.

Our defense is going to be AWESOME next season. Easley coming back. Brown in his 2nd year. Butler is a legit #1 corner. Hightower and Collins fully healthy. Sheard and Jones coming off the edge. Nink doing whatever it is he does so well. Chung has discovered how to be good. Get a corner to replace Ryan and its amazing.

On offense we need a veteran guard and a real running back to complement Dion Lewis. Solder is coming back. Also replace Lafell with anyone, I dont care who.

We are going to be fine next year. Clear AFC favorites

I agree with everything you said, but I must say that at first glance our schedule next year will be a few notches tougher.

Yup, and will once again be a FA this year.

Not sure if serious, but you honestly thing BB is going to pay Megatron money?

Strange why BillB elected to receive even after winning the coin flip.

OL was very bad against good DL. Plain and simple.

But, I expected some strategy changes during halftime. That didnt seem to appear.

The gameplan was very very vanilla.

Now, let's figure out why that was. Why in the biggest game of the year, with all your weapons not do what you normally do?

Solder and Lewis would not have helped that much today. Even if we had won it would be tough against this carolina team. the interior O-line is terrible.

Losing that 1st round pick totally sucks. We could have drafted one of the top 2 interior guards with that pick, because that is where they are typically drafted. Thanks Roger...

With that said, we need to sign a road grader in FA. Need a huge, nasty tough interior guard to negate that interior push that end up making our tackles look bad due to not allowing Brady to step up. Manning has always had that as his priority.

Kelechi Osemele of the Ravens is a young interior stud who is available and is versatile as he filled in at OT.

this is a much tougher ride

i hope they recognise they were too arrogant vs. OL
they went over the top @safety - franchise extension and 2nd R pick
(and i really do like jordan richards)

i guess BB will be stubborn and go with most of current OL
but you need great athletes @OL in todays NFL not just meat
i hope for some small change of philosophy in this direction
to give Brady another chance - he will be a year older next game
and with the above schedule he needs all the protection he can get

injury excuse is for losers. we had our weapons in the lineup today and look what happened.
When you win the SB, and only 2 of your starting Olinemen from that game play, Brady doesn't have the time to find those weapons.

Looking through a list of NFL FA's in 2016, figured I would post what guys interest me by position for RB and WR...

RB - looking for a 3-down back type or a bruiser, at least:
Matt Forte
Tim Hightower
Chris Ivory (probably too expensive for BB)
Chris Johnson? (looked good this year in AZ)
Doug Martin (also probably too expensive)
Lamar Miller
Stevan Ridley (again), Travaris Cadet (again)
James Starks? Robert Turbin?

WR - the "X" position seems to be the greater need with LaFell having a down year:
Travis Benjamin
Anquan Boldin
Andre Holmes
Alshon Jeffery (likely too expensive)
Leonard Hankerson (again)
Marvin Jones
Jermaine Kearse
Brian Quick
Terrelle Pryor

I honestly feel like the way I did after the 2013 AFCCG. We have a ways to go before being the best team in the league again. We need OL, RB, WR and DB help.

We better be on to improving our ****ing O line need to draft our high picks towards o line

i'm not playing the injury excuse card. everyone on this board (including myself) said the pats were much much better off with amendola and edelman in the lineup and denver wouldn't stand a chance. whoops.

Brady's potential decline has to be taken into account for the future.

The list of QBs to play at an elite level at age 39 or older in the history of the NFL:

Favre
Moon

The team is and will be absolutely loaded going into next season. As long as Brady doesn't decline we should be favorites to win it all again.

any chance the Browns give up on Gordon

If we could add some depth to the OL in the draft and try and sign veteran possession WR i would be happy
