Brady looked like he was on a serious mission today and wanted to show everybody why NE is a dynasty.
"Teams don't fear NE anymore".
Safe to say they fear them again.
That has a good chance to be this year's "They aren't good anymore."
Brady made a couple of ill advised throws and was rusty on his first few passes. I was a bit concerned seeing the initial opening series passes behind the receivers -- thinking 'I hope the ankle isn't bothering him'. Yet he shook it off and very quickly looked like Monster Brady taking them down for that first drive TD. That was huge! Really set the tone for the game that the Patriots of the first half of the season have returned! I told my friend after that first drive that the Patriots were back and only way KC will win this thing is last minute heroics.
The pump fake, the scramble, many excellent step ups/shifts in the pocket to allow big yards, a couple of key third and long throws, and him being pumped up to the extreme on the sideline. In multiple areas Brady showed a mark of excellence. If we can couple that with 2 more games of good OL play, health, and satisfactory D performances? Our chances of the repeat are solid.
This exactly. Brady looked a little off on his timing with some of the receivers on a few plays but that's nit picking. All of his main targets are hurting but they stepped up and did what they had to do. Don't forget Jules JUST got back to game action after a long layoff. So yeah he had a few drops but it didn't cost them much. And even with a few bad plays and timing issues here and there they looked close to how they were the first few weeks of the season when they looked unbeatable. The Chiefs couldn't stop them on defense and they realized that EARLY. Hopefully one more week of rest and practice will make them even better. I also hope they can get the running game going a little more, even if it's just a few first downs here and there simply to extend drives and kill some more clock. I think our defense played pretty well tonight overall - some bad plays, missed tackles, missed sacks, a few blown coverages, but that happens in every game to every team. I just don't want them to be on the field as long as they were tonight. Some of those field goals may turn into touch downs if they're gassed in the thin air of Denver. (That is if the Donkeys beat the Steelers which granted looks guaranteed right now, but for some stupid reason I'm not changing my Steelers pick... Banking on Manning losing them the game with multiple INTs...)
I love Brady - I don't care what anyone thinks about thatHe is the GOAT
KC was in a tranz on how to stop him.
Nearly **** myself on that playWhat scared me was the Edelman drop that probably should of been a KC pick-six which looked similar to the pick-six against the Giants.
Brady posted an 86.4 QBR against the Chiefs. That's the highest by any player so far this postseason. To put that in perspective, a player with a QBR of 85 or higher in a season is considered to be playing at an All-Pro level.
The pump fake was pretty awesome too.
Good one, that's the first thing I said after the Gronk TD, faked him outta his jock.I think I heard this morning that one of the Gillette grounds keepers just found a Chief's jockstrap on the field! What a great play that was!
Yeah he is. When they kept showing replays of that run/dive for the end zone I just laughed and shook my head......he's freakin' 38 years old.He is the GOAT
