Brady's passing yards lost due to penalties

It also seemed like he threw more balls away intentionally than i remember him doing in years past. I forget what game it was but I remember him throwing away at least a half dozen.

The first Jets game (@Gillette) he threw away a ton. Maybe that's the one you're thinking of

Incredible stat. Between dropped passed and penalty yards, it's a wonder he had the season he did. I thought many times they were going to make them score every TD twice due to penalty yards. Wonder if they will let OPI go and let them play in the playoffs.
Doubt it unfortunately. I think the scrutiny will be even more magnified because....well.....its NE.

Its about the integrity of the game:rolleyes:

Cam Newton and Russell Wilson have about 100 each. That is ridiculous.

FHUCK GOODELL.........that is straight dog-****e

People around me don't believe me when I say the Pats and Brady are unfairly penalized in-game. This just proves my point perfectly. Hope Goodie gets nut-cancer.......I never say that about people but this **** deserves it

You're right, what irritates me the most is not the amount of penalties we get, it is the timing of such penalties , the down and distance of when they occur. I wish there was a stat for that, would be interesting to see that
Its pretty close to actual evidence in my opinion.

I've been saying for a while that someone really needs to create a business/website that grades games based on calls/no calls.

Every fan of every team is interested in this stuff. Did your team lose because of the refs? Was the game called fairly? How many blatant holding penalties were missed.

Really, I think the only hard part/most money is finding someone(s) who knows the rules well enough to dissect and grade the games.

I don't need a site to tell me that all the games I watched there was a disturbing trend of them getting controversial calls that altered the course of the game. Whether it was a late flag, bogus OPI on Gronk, BS PI on Butler that set a team up for a go-head TD. Every time I saw them have a great play I was cringing just waiting for a flag.

To me it definitely wasn't the amount of penalties overall but how they absolutely destroyed their momentum or overturned a crucial TO or just flat out stole a TD from Brady and Co.

This isn't typical homer paranoia because even game-commentators hinted more than once "I guess New England will have to score 2 times for it to count from now on"

How much are the bs OPI calls on Gronk?

Right. and Blandino (or can we call him Bandito?) will be up there spewing the "stats" that the number of penalties being called is on pr with other years. Obviously, they'll never tell us about grading, non-calls, or how information is communicated to refs about what to watch for.

The potential scandal that is brewing because the NFL* office is really trying to control the media message works only as long as the NFL* is making money. The higher the ride, the deeper the fall and the owners seem to think this setup/ability to manage the big business that is media will go on forever. It might take more time, but eventually the truth will get out there.

Imagine if Brady was allowed to take HGH, and get 500 yards of bogus pi calls instead of 500 taken away??? That's like another 2000 yards to his total :0

I was on another board a few years ago. I said that the Ravens game with the replacement officials was one of the best examples of corruption I had seen. I was laughed at and told I was full of it. Anyway numerous, and I means numerous drives that were in 3rd and longs etc for the Ravens were extended by phantom PI calls. The announcers got to the point they were asking where was the penalty? It was ONLY for the Ravens. They won.

It's not just the Pats either. It's a NE thing. I have a picture of Rask being held down by a Blackhawks stick in his goal. No interference called and they scored a goal a minute or so later that changed that game, and series momentum. (Cup Finals '13). I have a ton more examples from that game as well.

Celtics in '10. Game 7 foul discrepancy for the Lakers vs Celtics. Won them the series.

ALDS '13 Joe West had a strike zone that was consistently calling balls strikes for A. Sanchez and strikes balls for whoever was starting for the Sox. The Red Sox hitters had zero idea what was a ball so they swung at stuff they normally wouldn't have. It was so obvious. Even then it couldn't stop Papi and the gang in the end.

Blandino is proud of his minions..

504 yards is nothing. I bet Brady breaks that just in the playoffs this year.

I wonder how many were lost due to the ticky tack Gronk OPI penalties through the middle of the season by themselves.

1. Brady- 504 yards lost
2. Palmer 253 yards lost

Passing Yards Lost to Penalties: 2015 NFL Season

Since '09 (the furthest back this goes) no one has come close to 500 yards
Thanks.

That's very strong evidence of bias. Individual Officials forget when they throw one flag on one particular play because they know it's what the league office wants that eventually somebody could add all the flags up and find a pattern.

Could someone who has Sally Jenkins email send the link to her? I don't expect the "journalists" at HSPN, Sports Distort-erated and The NFL Shill-work to talk about this, let alone the CHB or MCI.

Every bone in my body and every hour I have spent studying and teaching statistics says that this is not random.

Thanks again.

Yup, the playoffs worry me because of this. The NFL can start playing tricks in these games.
