Odd thing about coordinators is that when the players execute they are geniuses. When their players don't they're imbeciles. The Patriots have the best coaching staff and football operations department in the history of their vocation. Please give that a moment to sink in before calling for their heads.

From @ESPNStatsInfo: With 5 pass attempts, it is the fewest Tom Brady has thrown in the 1st half of a start in his 16-year career.

@cpriceNFL @KB878787 @Patriots Health trumps momentum? NEVER thought I'd see the day where the Pats laid down and played to not get hurt

Not mutually exclusive, IMO. And no one suggesting they're laying down & playing not to get hurt.

anyone else worried about Ghost?

Now that you bring it up I saw his pre kick routine and it usually goes like this. Walks up, looks at the posts, right arm up and down to line up the kick. Very mechanical. Very militaristic.

On that field goal, walks up, looks, right arm up the halfway down he stops and kinda brushes the forehead are of his helmet. It struck me as odd and sure enough..shanksville.

Don't know if the players themselves are frustrated. Or he's sick or what. Something. Doesn't feel right. TB isn't even fired up.

Just the way people like you comment on a supposedly "bad gameplan" or "lazy football" tells me all I need to know about your level of insight.

Would I like to be ahead? Sure. But I am happier to not see any seam routes for Gronk that expose him to injuries and also no quick passes to a clealry hobbled Dola to not aggravate anything there.

I dont care if you elitism cant handle a low scoring win against the lowly Dolphins.

We will get out with a win and hopefully with no injuries and that is the only thing that matters.

Settle down chief and no need for name calling, we are all fans here. What would you call the kneel down last week before halftime? Do you want to see this Team go to Denver?

This team has big problems, Edelman and Vollmer aren't fixing this.

This team looks like the 2009 team right now, injuries have finally caught up.

OT: Bills lead Jet's 16-7

Most blatantly phoned in game of the BB/Brady era?

2005 season week 17 against Miami. *That* game was phoned in - they clearly did not want the 3 seed, wanted to face Jacksonville as the 4 seed.

Ed Hochuli has nice arms..

Other than that I am bored..

I'd be shocked if they drew up a specific game plan for today. IMO, they are working on specific things (getting Jackson into game shape) for the playoff run. BB believes this team, with Gronk, Amendola, Jules and Jackson/White can beat any team in any stadium, home or away.

Deus, your thoughts as to why?

Is fear of the Jets & Steelers this bad?

Player health (and corresponding level of play issues)

Not really much to play for

Whatever the hell it is you want to call this show today

would have to play a tough bengals team first, then go to denver.
tough task with all of the injuries

gotta find a way to move the ball. maybe tom should look for 87

I remember 2013.. Totally different team.. They weren't nearly as injured as we are currently..
Maybe you should use that brain you claim to have and stop and think for awhile instead of just running your mouth incessantly and nonsensically..

2013 had no business doing anything. Up there with 2009 for worst roster of the Brady/BB era. What's so frustrating about this year is how it started off as one of the best teams ever and trailed off into this ******** just because of injuries.

Does the defense have a third straight game with a rd in them?
Being so shorthanded, playing in that warm weather and being left on the field they way they have by a pop warner offense that Patriots D is not going to have anything left by the 4th qtr.

I would be super happy with a low scoring win. I just don't know if they can even win a low scoring game right now with the way they are playing.

The defense really just mailed it in the last drive (that should just be an aberration). I am just concerned that the offense really can't get in the end zone with the current game plan, but I have confidence that the coaches made the necessary adjustments.

But they will have to deal with those injuries in the playoffs too. An offense afraid of its oline isn't winning in the playoffs.

This O line looks different with Edelman and Amendola in the game.
