My point is we had a Super Bowl caliber offense before him and we have one without him. As long as White can fill the Vereen role (Vereen sucked at rushing too) then we are solid.

I don't disagree with you, VP. I just believe that it will be much more challenging without having an adequate rushing attack, and it goes above and beyond reasons that pertain to proper balance or statistics that show 50+ passing attempts.

Yes, it's certainly possible, but the odds will increase dramatically if we're able to get Steven Jackson going on the ground, with James White fully taking over the Vereen role catching passes. As a matter of fact, I personally think that it's necessary. Hopefully, Edelman comes back and dominates again, guys like Amendola and LaFell add something significant like they did last postseason, and we get things going with our RBs.

Frank Gore had 15 for 85. Ya one of them was for 37 yards but that's the point of sticking to the run game. You are not always gonna hit a huge run. But if you stick to it in 30-35 runs you are going to get at least 5-6 good runs.

You can't expect that kind of production from a 32 year-old running back...oh, wait.

Really hope we establish a solid run game. One of the problems for Gronk right now is opposing defenses can bring a CB/S to cover him because they're not worried about us running. Our run isn't effective against even a light box. If our Oline can establish any kind of run blocking and Jackson can force the opposing D to bring in some heavies it will open Gronk up more.

With Siliga out (family emergency), we now know who the 7 inactives are, a good four hours before the game. Curious to know if this has ever happened before, where we've known the complete list of inactives this early? I can't seem to remember.

So mccourty and Chung?

Could be a game where "being active" doesn't lead to 100% of snaps...

What happened to Freeny? That injury is dragging on....

Busted hand/wrist? I don't know, just going off of rumor/memory.

Yeah, he was just kind there and then he wasn't some time back. Never thought it was a serious injury but he's lost a bit of time now.

One thing from last week, they need to get White involved more.

Agree this is the kind of game wish we had Hankerson some kind of deep threat to keep the defense honest.
What would be nice is for somebody to show up as a valid deep threat.

What happened to Jones toe?

What the hell is people's obsession with that jag Hankerson? He was in NE for about 15 minutes and obviously wasn't picking anything up.

And thinking that guy is a deep threat only shows you have no clue about him. LaFell is more of a deep threat than that guy is.

It's Post-Moss depression which is an interesting phenomena given we won zero SBs with said "deep threat". I've said it before, the team has gotten MULTIPLE players open behind the defense this year (much tougher to gameplan against many than one BTW) but haven't connected because of much worse issues than a "Hankerson" would address in any way - such as the OL.

grounds crew still working on the field. that's not good.
don't want any of our guys going down.

Based on eye test, OT LaAdrian Waddle doesn't seem like he is ready. Grimacing after last rep. Left shoulder the issue.

......and this is one of our "Actives".

Waddle, McCourty, Chung, Amendola, Richards, Ninkovich as "actives" makes me wonder exactly WHOM does BB put on the field today?
