Denver Post - Pats are now "too soft" to repeat

All anyone needs to know about the broncos homer media is what the Pats beat guys said happened in the press box when the broncos won.

The annual "Patriots are too soft, too old, too slow" article. You write it enough, it's bound to eventually be right.

And lol. Whatever the Broncos media and fans need to tell themselves. The Patriots are soft, no chance in Denver, yada yada...yeah, that's why you're still celebrating it 3 days later as if it were the biggest win in your franchise's history. Don't get me wrong, if the Pats were 8-2 and beat a Broncos 10-0 team at home, I'd be stoked. But I'd be over it by Monday evening. That they are still so caught up on the win shows they know it was a big upset for them. They didn't think they could win it to begin with. They were complaining about referees before the game even started, and can't see beyond their noses that the officiating was awful. "But the Pats had less penalties!" is a serious cop-out. When 4 of those 5 penalties wiped out some of the biggest plays in the game they're more meaningful than your sloppy "Blocking a player out of bounds on a punt" penalty. And when a lot of no-calls happened on some of the biggest plays for Denver (hands to the face on their last 4th quarter TD, holding on their overtime TD, defensive holding on LaFell in OT, the list goes on) you can only call it fair officiating if you're a Broncos fan, which 99% of the nation was on Sunday night.

I have full confidence in this team with their key players back in Foxboro. I would almost guarantee a victory with Edelman, Gronk, Amendola, Collins, Hightower, and the OL fully healthy. The only reason I wouldn't guarantee a victory is because God knows what the officiating will do. That's something you can't control, and it's scary.

I love **** like this. We need more dumbass reporters to follow suit.

It's sad when they worry more about us losing than their own team winning

the broncos still haven't won a SB without cheating the salary cap.
brock will not lead them to a title, neither will the washed up choke artist.

we were missing all of our best players, refs against us, and it still took overtime to defeat our team. donkey's got lucky

Apparently cheered like Pats fans did when Malcolm Butler picked off Russel Wilson in the SB
Lol, that doesn't surprise me. This was a big win for Denver. ****, all they've ever known was getting blown out by the Patriots in Foxboro. They were scared of New England last year, they were scared of em this year. I mean, it's basically like winning $5,000 off a $3 scratch off. They had already warmed up to the thought of losing before the game started, looked like another sure loss before Harper muffed a punt, and then rode a wave of calls and non-calls to an improbable victory. It's actually quite a fitting reaction. They know they won't do anything in the playoffs if NE has anything to say about it. They can throw their parade for now. There'll be blood in January

LOL! More proof of how pathetic the Broncos* have been since they were caught cheating in the late 90s. Not only have they not won a single SB since then, but their only accomplishments have been barely beating our backups and practice squad players (in 2013 and last Sunday) at home.

The rematch (if the Broncos even make it far enough) won't just be a blow out in our favor - it will be a beat down of the worst kind. Denver is not a good team. They're going to be embarrassed if they have the misfortune of facing us again.

I heard Bill Polian on Sirius gushing over the Broncos defense on how they went up against the Pats high powered offense without Demarcus Ware and took it to them. No mention of the lack of Edelman, Lewis, Amendola, or Gronk going down. Or that Brady threw for three TDs and no picks.

I swear there are media people all over the country waiting for the Pats to lose to bury them.

There's a reason they call that place Mile 'HIGH'.... to much pot going around. Lay off the crack, clowns.

Just get them in our building and we will beat them. Get healthy. Have hightower and collins together.

No need. With our top playmakers back, we could annihilate them even in Denver. If we took them to OT with half our team out, we'd have no problem winning there with all those guys returning for the playoffs.

In fact, I would kind of prefer that.

Someone on this board there's a thread on the best records set by the BB/TB Patriots.

Gets me wondering: How many times has the "Patriots' aura of invincibility" been pronounced dead the past 15 years? Whatever the number is … that must be some sort of unbreakable record!

Bill Polian thinks Keshawn Martin, Asante Cleveland, James White, Scott Chandler, forms a "high powered offense"? That group of nobodies put up 24 points on them on their home field. LOL!

It's the American way, and human nature. Let's face it, the teams we root against most are our closest rivals. We get tired of teams like the Colts, Ravens and Steelers. I can only imagine how tired other fans must be of the Patriots but … not our problem, thankfully.

He's just trying to get some clicks and faves from local readers before the ****storm that will start in the Denver media when Peyton makes it clear that he wants his job back when he's healthy. This won't be Drew Bledsoe, a very good but not great player, making nice on the sidelines, this will be the guy who still thinks he's the GOAT and knows that everybody objective has now conceded that Brady is the GOAT and will feel he has something to prove. Get your popcorn ready!

lol.

Which Bronco said last year that the team was scared of coming to play in Foxboro?
Yeah, following their playoff loss and before D Thomas had a contract for the following year, he said everyone in the Broncos locker room before the Colts game was talking about how they didn't want to go to Foxborough to play the Pats... And then got beat by Luck that night.
