Chris Harris: Broncos Defense has No Weaknesses

It would have played out the same because the broncos still had the lead and would have run the same plays on offense and played the same defense.

Thats quite naive but whatever lets stop speculating on what-ifs.

I don't think it's all that naive, really.

How much differently would the Broncos try to run out the clock at 17-12 than they tried to at 17-9?

Still waiting for @luuked to answer this

Yeah, there's really only one play that might have gone differently, the 4th and 1 punt. Knowing Kubiak, though, he'd be more inclined to punt there to avoid a short-ish field situation.

Linebackers and safety are their weakness. I also think you can run on that front seven.

Like we did in the AFFC game two years ago? Wouldn't count on it.

This game is going to be really tough. Hope we eke out a win, but we ain't gonna pound them with the run.

Yep. Running game was easily as ugly as the AFCC game two years ago. Blount running into the wall.

That game sucked. Denver is a really good team, gotta give them credit, but that game sucked.

A good team wouldn't have needed OT to beat a practice squad at home. If anything, they should be embarrassed about giving up 24 points to a team with exactly 0 receivers.

So they didn't beat us because they are good. They should actually be embarrassed that they didn't win by more because of how bad we are? And our running game isn't actually bad: we just choose to throw every down because...strategy.

It's definitely embarrassing to give up 24 points at home to a practice squad. I don't think anyone who wants to consider themselves SB contenders would be happy with that performance.

But then again, the Broncos are not SB contenders.

They put up 30 with their back up QB. And we lost. I think we have more to be embarassed about than they do. Because...we lost.

I know people like to think everyone is bad except us, but the Broncos are good, and it isn't actually fair to say it was our practice squad given that we had Gronk in for most of the game. And our O line is healthy again. Yet we still couldn't run. Indeed, our run game was junk, just like in the AFCC game two years ago. Pretty much identical.

I do want to see them in the playoffs though, for revenge. I just think it is weird for people to act like we didn't play a good team on Sunday. With all respect to Fourier and Laplace and Legendre transforms and all that, it comes off a bit petty.

I really wish people would stop saying "With their backup QB" when their BACKUP QB WAS BETTER THAN THEIR STARTING QB

We were beating their ass up and down their own field with Gronk and Hightower in the game - despite the multitude of other injuries we had.

They needed our top two defensive players + our 3rd CB out of the game for them to get anything going. Check the numbers before and after Hightower left. Night and day.

It'll be an easy blow out if we don't lose any more players and if Gronk, Edelman, Amendola, Hightower, Coleman, and Collins can return for the playoffs (which it looks like they will.)

They needed OT on their home field against a practice squad. How embarrassing.

21-7 at the beginning of the 4th when Harper muffed that punt.

******** OPI call on Gronk on a 3rd down conversion with 5 minutes to go.

Blatant hold on Easley on the 40 yard pass on their TD drive (Yet called a hold on Jackson when Brady threw that bomb to Martin which they were going to run more clock and get at least 3). Should have been 1st and 20 from the 7.

******** hold call on Chung on the Branch sack.

Illegal hands to the face missed on the TD pass (Called Vollmer for it earlier in the 4th)

Blatant hold by Talib in OT that the refs refused to call

Blatant hold on McCourty on the game winning TD run. Should have been 3rd and 11 instead of a TD.

Refs call that game straight up and it ends 24-14

agree w/ all except mccourty hold. solid block and only mayo/harmon have solid shot at stopping that run and fail 2x.

when people say back up like he's not better than Manning i know than and there not to take them seriously anymore

Someone should write a book using sports message boards to teach the logical fallacies. Ad hominem would be the easiest. lol

guys, bottom line is the pats choked this one away. even with all the injuries they should have won with better playcalling and execution. on offense the pats played conservative at the end of the first half with 3 TOs and of course the harper fumble. i'm not blaming the refs even if they were biased. their QB played well in the fourth quarter and OT.
