When we got him back I thought he had a chance, Coleman beat him out.

These injuries man... just awful.Seriously, I am having trouble being optimistic for this one. At least our O-line is coming back.

Go back and check out the injury/IR lists from 03 and 04.

It'll make your skin crawl.

coleman out, only three corners
no collins so nobody will be able to cover mccoy out of the backfield. not that worried though, we still have TB12. find it hard to believe that we'll lose to the ****ing bills at home in a game that we actually try to win.

hope vollmer can suit up.

2011 too, I'd say. But we didn't win the Super Bowl, so...

I'd also argue that the injuries this year are starting to pile up to those levels, mostly at CB and T. We still have arguably the best 2 CBs (Ryan being the arguable part) under contract with the team active, but with the lack of depth after them (with Coleman's injury in mind), we might as well start trotting out #80 (Brown, not Amendola) and #11 in sub situations. And of course, the tackle position already hit that point with a center or a TE (although he does have tackle experience) opposite a recent practice squadder who never played on the left side ever in his life. There's at least a chance that the T situation can improve though...CB, however, can go nowhere but down.

Just putting this out there. I played safety in high school...

Eh???

Eh????

03 the team had 42 different starters. 42! And lost Woody in the playoffs.

04 lost Law, Ashworth and Poole.

If this team lost Malcolm and Ryan the world would stop spinning. Plus Sey missed some playoff games.

Of course, any time you lose starters where depth to is thinnest it will look bad. But it looks worse because the Pats have already lost two of their top 4 CBs and the 5th is on the shelf now, too.

Add to that the games missed by both starting LBs, the top RB and WR, top three OTs, two of the top three guards, the top center and the #2 WR... And this group had definitely suffered comparable injuries. I might even put them above 2003.

IR'ed already:

James Develin
Tarrel Brown
Ryan Wendell
Nate Solder
Dion Lewis

Julian Edelman is gone for the rest of the regular season.

.....and we are only 9 games in.

Injuries are part of every season. The key is if they come back and can perform. If JE comes back - like Ted Washington in 03 then you can survive.

It's when key starters go on IR that really hurts.

Time will tell is 2015 is the worst.

Good thing this is a deep team.

Reinforces the point of building a team and not a star studded, top heavy salary commissioned roster. That Bill Belichick fella may just have an idea as to how to build a 53 man team.

I thought they brought him back to the practice squad....sorry :)
No apologies are called for for not being able to keep all of the roster moves in memory. I certainly cannot and I suspect we are not alone. Fortunately, the team does a great job of updating the roster including the PS:
TEAM ROSTER

This is interesting for Dax Swanson fans [I'm one]. He has not been a caastoff we didn't want, he has been on other practice squads most of the time. He only became available again 6 days ago. Hmmm.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
On October 20, 2015, Swanson was signed by the Buccaneers to the practice squad. On October 27, 2015, he was released by the Buccaneers.

New York Giants
On November 5, 2015, Swanson was signed by the Giants to the practice squad. On November 16, 2015, he was released by the Giants.

Cheez BB, you could do worse. make a phone call.:D
