The normally totally useless Bleacher Report has gathered a bunch of amateur scout types to rate players each week on their performances. It's not perfect, obviously, since like anything it relies on subjective analysis, but it's more interesting than PFF because you can at least see the components of their grades. There's some questionable stuff in here, like the flat number they add based on "position" just to add each one up to 100, for instance, or the fact that running backs like Blount who are almost always off the field on 3rd down receive a "receiving" or "blocking" grade. There's also obviously some bias here. I don't expect, once Brady comes back, for Cian Fahey to give Brady the grades he'll deserve. While Fahey is pretty good at evaluating QBs, I feel like he doesn't like Brady to be kind of edgy and really likes Rodgers and seems to correct his analysis to account for those biases.

I guess they don't give any bonus points for hurdling DB's or dragging 6 players into the end zone.

While I have no real basis to argue with any of these, I will say that I'm glad there's independent confirmation of my observation that Shea McClellin really sucks.
