Breaking news: Dobson sucks and I'd rather sign a 41 year Terrell Owens and have him play.

surprised you didnt mention welker....he couldn't wait another week? i bet he's thinking the same thing.

Everyone is talking about Dobson. Maybe Keshawn Martin gets more snaps when he's healthy.
Maybe?

If the hammy is ok Martin WILL get more snaps.

If it came down to plucking from the over 35 scrapheap, I'd take Randy over Owens

This is the same poster who had no sympathy for Greg Hardys victim so consider the source.

Sorry she took the money. She had a chance to get justice but took a check. At least I'm being honest unlike the social justice online warriors who could give 2 ****s about domestic violence in reality

The concerning thing about yesterday was that while JPP is very good, TB12 was harassed by a very average defensive line.

Having the best OL possible out there helping give TB12 a few more milliseconds to operate and receivers to separate from defenders would be huge.
Concerning?
Rookie Udfa at c. Career ps/backup at rg. Late round pick from a college that passes 8 times a game at lg. C just off ir at RT. Guy we cut in camp at LT.
That says Brady's should have been sacked 12 times.

I am not a Dobson supporter but what he does do well is get open deep. We just need the oline to get healthier so Brady can have more time getting him the ball. That said, he made a crucial 1st down catch on the winning drive.

Not to be facetious, but I don't know that it's the right of anyone to tell victims of abuse what they are supposed to do in a situation like this.

Patriots: WR Julian Edelman will have surgery on broken foot; NE "looking at 6-8 weeks without its No. 1 WR" - NESN.com -via ESPN ESPN App

That would mean the earliest we would see him back is the week of the 27th of Dec. That would have him back for the Phins on the Jan 3rd.

So when Brady went to him 4 times on the game winning drive says he sucks? What about the 7 or 8 catch 80+ yard game against the Bills? Martin what has less than 5 catches. Brady trusts him, especially when they went to him for a crucial first down. Dobson is the 3rd best wr behind amendola and lafell.

This is dobsons chance.

I don't understand how he gets more snaps over dobson when Dobson is the better wr by a long shot. I haven't seen where tom has the trust in Martin that he has with Dobson.

I dont think its necessarily a trust issue specific to TB.

I think it has more to do with positional/roster/scheme flexibility with Martin passing Dobson on the depth chart.

My thoughts but maybe with JE's injury it might not matter as they both will be suited up.

1. Martin is a KR/PR. Dobson is not.
2. Martin does have a few catches and hauled in a 39yd bomb vs DAL.
3. Martin seems to have better hands
4. Martin seems to be able to run the shorter routes better than Dobson and with this line is not a bad thing.

Recover well Jules and i hope to see ya in playoffs

You bring up a good point that Brady seems to trust Dobson much more now, or maybe it's because he was trying to take the top off the defense. Dobson has been on the team for three years, so I'd think Brady would have some degree of confidence in him. Dobson just seems so unreliable with his hands; he drops a lot of balls he should easily catch, and if the ball is even moderately difficult to snag, I can't recall him ever catching one that isn't placed perfectly.

I wouldn't rule out Martin, though. He has definitely looked great in the limited opportunities he's had. It's been the opposite, as he has great hands and catches everything near him, though he doesn't have the bigger, physical presence of Dobson.

Reading through bits of this thread, I get the sense that a lot of people are knee-jerk reacting to how poorly the offense looked yesterday after Edelman went down. It was ugly, not gonna discount that. But in-game injuries play havoc to game plans/game prep. Of course Edelman is a huge loss, coupled with Lewis being out Brady lost his go-to quick-strike options and that has a cascading effect which we saw last night: Brady can't get rid of the ball as quickly as in the past, revealing some O-line weaknesses and ultimately Brady's pressured/hit/flushed from the pocket.

All that said, my thought on this injury is it makes the O-line health that much more important. One way or another they've gotta find a split second more time because he doesn't have those reliable binkies who're open right off their opening break. And I think the O-line is more of a 'patience' type thing, where the injured players are expected back in the short term. With it, I think Brady get a little more pocket time, Gronk isn't asked to stay in and block as much and Amendola/Lafell/Gronk plus Dobson/Blount/White/Bolden are enough for this to remain an elite offense. Maybe not a near-historic offense, but still one of the best in the NFL.

Any word on how edelmans surgery went?

Dez started practicing in 4 weeks correct?

Given Edelmans dedication i wouldnt be surprised if we see him healed closer to 6 weeks than 8
