Patriots Harrassed by NFL/Jets Over Bugging/Electronics Suspicions - Conflicting Reports

Why bother planting evidence? They've already shown they can take any draft picks the want without any evidence. BB's not union, so they don't need any evidence to nail him either.
Well this is a little over the edge but I'll say it anyway. After Spygate there were rumors that BB told Goodell that he has evidence of other teams' cheating in a safe and would unveil it if he ever came after Bill. It sounds a little nutty but consider :

- Wells report specifically stated BB had no knowledge when it didn't have to.

- Sean Payton was suspended because "he should have known". Wouldn't that apply to BB ?

- In Bill's PC why did he suddenly state that "all teams did it" back in 2007 ? Maybe as a reminder to Roger ?

OK, it's a nutty conspiracy theory but it does make you wonder, especially item 2 above.

If Belichick has the evidence, why hasn't he revealed it? I'm long past ready to see the evidence.

Can anyone reasonably answer any of the following:

Has anyone heard any mention of this program of sweeping visitor locker rooms for bugs and checking visitor communications to ensure that they're working? Not that they did it at this stadium before this particular game, but just any mention that the league was doing this?

If not, that's one hell of a secret to keep.

So if they're that good at keeping this secret, why did it get out that they did this to the Patriots? Hmmm...

How can we get some bugs into goodel's office?
I'm seriously hoping Anon hacks them at some point ...
that would be a major soap opera.
Certainly someone there is a Patriots fan ....

First, I'm well aware that it's probably not true and it just a fun story. Although the points I made do make you wonder.

To answer your question, while we would love to go nuclear on the league, the NFL is Bill's life so I would assume he would prefer not to drop a nuclear bomb on it unless he is forced to.

Sean Payton was warned several times during the season by the league about reports of bounties. Why the myth that he knew nothing has morphed into an urban legend is beyond me other than it's likely that it's the same phenomenon which has caused hundreds of millions to believe the Pats taped the Rams walk- through.

They're trying to frame the Pats AGAIN. Something has to be done.
As Michael Holley said this afternoon, when the league office hates you and is out to get you, there's nothing you can do. Nothing. And, he's correct.

The league is after us. There is no doubt about the fact that they'd love to nab the Pats for something even if it is fabricated. It's really a disgrace.
Just wait until the playoffs are about to begin in January and the league releases the results of their rigged, empirical, evidence-based data on how the environment affected ball pressure during the current regular season. Mark my words, that'll be it.

One thing I AM doing...I'm going to the draft in 2016...and I'm going to bellow every scumbag rat lie Goodell has ever told ...in public,. in front of the cameras...until I get dragged out by security..and THEN I'm going looking for the cameras with the reams of evidence I possess about Roger Goodell's outright lies, the Kensil connection, the Disney connection and the overwhelming question of why the feds are not investigating Roger Goodell.

I'm retired, have nothing but free time, and I'm financially solvent. I will NOT die until I have this goddamned scumbag's head on a platter before the American people.

I think there will definitely be something. And don't forget ESPN. Those two hacks, who wrote up the hit piece with a bunch of "anonymous" sources levying all kinds of accusations against the Pats, said that they may publish a part two to it sometime this year. I guarantee that will be coming in the playoffs.

Yep. Couple that with the fact that any ass hole (space to circumvent the word filter) has a platform these days with social media and you have a nation of salty *****es.
Sadly, it is the world we collectively have chosen to create.

If Belichick has the evidence, why hasn't he revealed it? I'm long past ready to see the evidence.
I'm sure he has. Consider this, Goofell asked BB for all of his videotapes. At the time, I thought to myself ok "you really want them? Here are 25 tapes of your team, the Jets, with a giant video camera pointing at us." This is the real reason the tapes were destroyed!

I LOVE reading this story on other team's message boards (Bills & Jets). They get themselves so riled up to an incredible frenzy, spewing all types of conspiracy theories, foaming at the mouth, only to find out their honest source, Boomer Esiason, is telling a lie. It's so hilarious . The morons actually believe that the Pats HAVE to be cheating, because no team can be THAT good and prepared. They have to be cheating, stealing play books, etc (it's obvious the fans besides us took the ESPN story as gospel).

It's so enjoyable to see their disappointment in finding out Boomer was wrong (that the Jets asked for the locker room to be checked for bugs). Some Jet's fans actually were cursing Boomer out in their thread, they so want this to be proof of the Pats cheating. They are such morons.

This allegation goes a bit beyond videotaping someone standing in plain view of 70,000 people (which, for some reason, is illegal from a certain vantage point) or deflating footballs prior to a game (which never happened).

This is actually a federal offense. The Patriots have been accused of engaging in a federal offense. And the impotent commissioner just shrugs and says "integrity."
Don't believe it is a Federal offense. What is your basis for asserting Federal jurisdiction?

It is, however, clearly a felony under Massachusetts law.
Massachusetts wiretap law explained: Understanding one of the most restrictive wiretapping laws in the U.S.

I sure hope no one employed by the Patriots has ever texted or used the word "bug" or "bugs" or referred to themselves as the "bugger" in the past 15 years.
It is more probable than not that someone associated with the Patriots was heard to say "bugger Goodell", hence they are guilty and must forfeit all draft picks for the next ten years.

Massachusetts State Police????

Oh yeah, THAT would satisfy the nation's concern about integrity.........
Our fellow citizens will never trust anyone's integrity in this day snd age. There is always someone willing to claim someone else is lying, to the point that it's impossible to decide who to trust.

Source: Jets' complaint prompted interrogation of Patriots sideline staff

In the second quarter, an NFL employee identified himself to three Patriots employees, two full-time and one part time, and "interrogated" them, according to the source. The NFL employee said the reason for the questioning stemmed from a complaint filed by the Jets, who demanded to know whether the radio frequencies and stadium operations were performed up to an appropriate standard.

The NFL employee took photographs of each Patriots employee and their identification badges, demanded to check their cell phones and also checked their radios to ensure they were operating through the proper channels. The NFL employee also said they already swept the visiting locker room for bugs.

After the questioning, which lasted about 15 minutes, the NFL employee continued to hover over the three Patriots employees until the third quarter, when a stadium operations manager told the NFL employee to route all further inquiries through Patriots and Gillette Stadium management.

This is bordering on Harassment

The only thing the Patriots can do is win the Superbowl...and then have Gronk spike the friggin trophy on stage
