go to steelers forum, and they are more bitter than Jets & Colts forum combined. lol

All these guys think it's some great great mystery that, when they do the same thing they've done a hundred times before, the Pats are prepared for it. They just can't even understand the level of preparation that the Patriots are operating on. ****, half the time I knew where the blitz was coming from.

As for the fans, Steelers fans are the last that should be criticizing any other organization. If they care so much about integrity, they should start by disowning their own 6 titles, of which 4 were won by the team that wrote the book on steroid abuse, and 2 were QBed by an alleged rapist.

Sure, the allegation is pretty flimsy and is very much in question, but then again so is Deflategate in its entirety and all this crap that they keep dragging up re: Spygate. Doesn't stop them then, so I guess it shouldn't stop everyone else from considering Big Ben a rapist.

I just had a discussion with a Steelers fan about this. My first reply was this:
"Just so you know... the filming of teams defensive signals was legal at the time they're talking about in this article. In fact, it's still legal to film teams defensive signals today, although it wouldn't do a lot of good since they're radioed in now.

The location of the camera has been restricted since a memo was sent out in 2007 and that's what the Patriots were penalized for. That memo wasn't even an official rule change - those have to be voted in by all 32 teams during the off season meeting. So the Patriots were basically punished for failing to properly read a memo."

I followed it up with:
"To your original point - that the Patriots "had the Steelers defensive signals". Let's say that they did. So, they legally filmed the Steelers defensive signals when they played them earlier in the season, and then studied those signals in case they didn't change them for the AFC Championship game. Then, they had a coach watch the Steelers sidelines and if the signals did match up to what they put on the field, they were able to counter every defensive alignment. This means that the Patriots caught the Steelers being stupid. Every team knows that every team tries to figure out their calls. Every team knows this is happening and changes their signals from game to game, especially against the same team they played earlier that season. A team that doesn't do that is just dumb."

Lastly I said this:
"If you want to see another version of a similar story, check out http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2696227

Smart football by the Dolphins. They found a way to gain an advantage. They outsmarted Belichick. And I bet that to this day, the Patriots now change their audible calls for every game."

I haven't heard back again.

You wasted way too much time on this.

Proper response was "You're a whiney crybaby."

Love how the talk about the 2004.

First game Corey Dillion didn't play. TY Law got hurt and Randall Gay was thrown in. Pats made early mistakes.

AFC Title. Corey Dillon played. Pats didnt have to change up CB in the game. Pats didn't make any mistakes

I feel like, in a sane world, you wouldn't even have to go that far. There's no reason to think two games of football played between the same two teams is going to go the same way each time. If that were the case, perhaps we should investigate the 07 Giants. Afterall, we scored 38 points on them in the regular season but only 14 in the Super Bowl. Clearly they were cheating!

2010 Jets clearly cheated.

Because obviously there's NO other explanation for losing 45-3 to us in December, then beating us at home in the playoffs coming off a bye week barely a month later.

I am just shocked that it took this long for the biggest team whiners in the NFL to come forth with something. I fully expect after they get whooped tonight, they'll be even more vocal about the Cheatriots.

Please don't bring this up. I actually cringed reading that

Steelers (and any franchise not named the Giants) and their fans:

This is a thread about the Steelers. The Ravens are little further South-West.

Exactly. I'm sure there are a hundred examples across professional sports of this exact kind of thing happening. But when it's the Patriots, it's some sign of nefarious doings.

Just one of many examples as to the level of stupidity that is out there. Common sense isn't very common in Pittsburgh apparently.
i used to live in pitt, they sounded like this every time the steelers lost.

And another thing no one has ever mentioned. The giants in the 07/08 SB sure seemed to know wht brady and the offense were going to do. No one here ever whined about it, it was just great coaching on the defensive side of the ball Coughlen completely changed his defensive up in two weeks.

I guess Steelers fans forgot about this:

“We didn’t lose the game because of any 'Spygate,' because of them having any additional things,” Cowher told 93.7 The Fan on Wednesday. “[If] they’re guilty of anything they’re guilty of arrogance because they were told not to do something but it was something everybody does. They got caught doing it with a camera.”

Add in that Matt Light went out with an injury early in that game.

The Patriots were playing without their #1 RB, then had to adjust to losing their left tackle and #1 cornerback, on the road against a very good team. The Patriots losing that game should not be a big surprise.

Two things Steelers fans overlook about the re-match in the playoffs:

Their team barely beat the Jets the week before. The Jets kicker missed 2 would-be game winning FGs late in the 4th quarter. Were the Jets cheating or were the Steelers not playing as great as they had earlier in the season?

Roethlisberger was 15-0 as a starter as a rookie. Did they really think the team was going to win 18 straight games and the SB with a rookie starter? BR had proved to be a great QB, but he played in the MAC, not the SEC or PAC 10. If Garropolo went 15-1 as the starter this year and the Patriots won the SB, Steelers fans would find that very suspicious.

2011. The Steelers got beat like a drum in 2013.

It was almost as if the Patriots knew that the Steelers couldn't cover Aaron Dobson when he scored two touchdowns, including an 81-yard catch. The Steelers must have left a "We Suck Against Shaky 2nd Year Receivers" play sheet in their locker room.

This is what we are dealing with.

"I haven't missed a game in probably 20 years. This includes living overseas and having ear plugs in my ear during important gigs. But this is a farce. That franchise cheated, got away with it, and now will lobby to have their "fall guys" reinstated. The league is a joke.

In my mind the real Steeler opener is next week against the Niners. The Patriots are not playing under the same rules as everyone else. True that we are likely to lose this game, but that's not the reason I am boycotting. I have witnesses countless blowout Steeler losses over the years and have taken it like a man every time. Not this time. Not if it's not done by honest means.

I'll see you guys in 10 days."

lol

This might be the most pathetic post I have ever seen a fan make.
