Just shear stupidity that he destroyed that phone when he did.

speaking of stupidity...research the difference between "sheer" and "shear" before you go off on OTHER people's stupidity, Rhody.

Brady was NEVER going to have to turn over the phone. He didn't need to.
NFL has zero subpoena power so there was zero chance he ever had to turn over his phone.
Just shear stupidity that he destroyed that phone when he did.
Brady will NEVER get his reputation back after this.
What a naive fool Tom Brady is.

You don't know what you are talking about.
He would have had to turn over the phone in Federal Court.

If you wish to truly destroy your phone, be sure to find the memory (internal and external) and do something really bad to it. Just smashing it will leave the data intact. At least wipe it securely before you do something physical to it. Also remember any records kept by the provider, government, and your recipients will still be out there.

Crumb. I just saw the bit where Brady's cell phone prior to the destroyed one was NOT destroyed. That won't look good in the court of public opinion.

One method (I'm not hawking the specific business. I used this example because of the quotable material)

Cell phones today contain more and more information making your personal emails, photos and contacts at risk if your device ends up in the wrong hands. There are many places you can simply drop your old phone off for recycling, but how can you trust that your information will not be stolen? In fact, many cell phone recycling drop off sites will re-use your phone by refurbishing and reselling. If your information has not been properly erased you are putting yourself and your contacts at risk. For only $5.00 you can have Shred Works destroy your phone and provide you with a certificate of destruction… after destruction the phone particles are recycled responsibly.

Who in the hell is cutting wool at this time of year? Fricken Sheeple.

If Aaron Hernandez and his attorney didn't have to turn over his cellphone for a murder trial, then by what logical leap can anyone suggest that Brady had any obligation to turn over his cellphone? Once your attorney looks at your cellphone, it is protected by attorney-client privilege, so says the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.

seems there's a herd of sheeple hanging around HERE today...

Quit being ridiculous. I destroy every business cell phone I have, and any personal smart phone, once I upgrade.

Then why didn't Tom destroy the phone he owned prior to the one he destroyed JUST BEFORE HE MET WITH TED WELLS??? Well Deus????
You can spin like a top Deus but the bottom line is destroying that phone when he did was horrible judgement on Brady's part and his reputation will never recover from it regardless of what happens in court.

Not sure what you are asking here. Theory?

I'm talking about judges who tend to consider electronic correspondence as paper documents.

In discovery.

I don't know. That doesn't impact the 'shear' ridiculousness of your post, though. What you posted was impressively stupid, regardless.

Dorito Dink, Deflator, Phone destruction, trip to the bathroom....etc....etc.... only mean something if there was air missing from those footballs and there wasn't. NONE.

If you wanted to take the Well's report verbatim it implies that only 0.3 to 0.4 psi was missing from those footballs and that is only if you accept that Walt Anderson forgot which gauge he used which was 0.4 out of calibration.

AEI, the McIntyre Blog clearly show via time lines and pressure results that it was the gauge which was out of calibration that was used and therefor the Patriots footballs were in regulation.

Yes the timing is bad and people will raise questions but the Science has not changed.

Are you expecting a De Novo trial about the actual incident to be the next step? Where are you getting this notion that the judge is going to demand discovery of a cell phone that was not used as evidence in the underlying 'case'?

Guess you can't debate the issue eh?? Not a surprise.

NFL's response to the Yee response?

"he would have taken a game if we would have sealed the records"

So Brady who was adamant about getting his name cleared and going to federal court if he was suspended a game was close to accepting a game if the NFL would just seal the records so nobody could see them.

Ignore the fact that now the NFL wants you to believe their the ones who are trying to uphold transparency and integrity.

I am holding out until I hear a response from Brady's team on this. I mean if Brady upgraded to an iPhone 6 and threw out the old phone before the investigation started that's not damning. I really think Brady needs to speak on the issue. If it's more spin, he needs to come out and defend himself already.

The last thing brady needs to do is publicly come out and say anything regarding this with a federal appeals court trial on the horizon. Brady won't say a word to anyone other than his attorneys until all of this is over, which could be anywhere from months to a year+

Why does it matter if he destroyed his phone? He wasn't going to give them his phone anyway and they weren't going to get it, so why is this being portrayed as a heinous crime now? I mean, I get why this hurts in the court of public opinion, just not in the facts of the case.

Red herring.

Look, he even DESTROYED his phone! Yet literally nothing has changed in the last several months.. They wanted his phone, he wouldn't give it to him.. Whether he smashed it to pieces with a hammer, shot it into outer space on a rocket or upgraded to the latest iphone/samsung is completely irrelevant.

"I don't know"..... ha ha ha ha ha
Very impressive Deus, you admitting that you can't justify your spinning about the routine practice of destroying phones when I tell you Brady didn't destroy all his phones.....JUST THE ONE TED WELLS WANTED TO SEE.
