Easy question, these three names have been linked to us the most so who do you think represents the best value for the Pats.

Wes Welker while giving up a second.

Randy Moss for a second (or third?) and a restructured contract.

Donte Stallworth while giving up no compensation.

Also you can choose early draft choice (Dwayne Bowe, Ted Ginn Jr., etc) or a late draft choice (Paul Williams, Johnnie Lee Higgins, etc).

Welker. The 2nd is like a third rounder. Stallworth can't stay healthy the more I think about it and is in substance abuse. Moss I don't know he can't turn a new leaf can he?

p.s. I voted for Stallworth, he's young, and wouldn't require comp, letting us fill linebacker holes in the draft.

I like welker and stallworth, if he can stay healthy (doubtful)

If the goal is to add the player who will most help the team win the answer is easily Moss. Neither Welker nor Stallworth are in the same zip code as Moss in this respect.

Stallworth and Anthony Gonzalez for me. I'd take Welker for a 3rd or below though.

Randy Moss! Randy Moss! I LOVE the guy. I know this will be unpopular but I want him and believe this would be a place where he would shine. Don't bother giving me his rap sheet. I don't care. It'll never happen......but Randy, you do have some people in your corner here.

2nd choice would be Stallworth. I do not care to see Welker come here.

Welker, Moss, and a late draft choice to stash on the practice squad.

Randy Moss average #s over the last 3 seasons: 50 catches for 775 yards. For reference, Stallworth averaged 55 catches for 812 yards in that time span.

Moss is on the decline. There is no denying it. He is not the player he once was and is not worth trading for.

Stallworth is pretty solid, but Welker fits us best.

Welker, very friendly cap #, we know what we are getting, the atypical pats player who will be with us for a few years.

great post

why not take all three, right?

The best value was Moss for a fourth. SSlam dunk.

Randy Moss for a fourth round pick plus Randy takes a paycut to play with us.

I call that serious value.

Though Moss is older, he will definitely, not maybe, give us good production this year if not the next few.

Stallworth hands down - he has the recent proven performance - forget # of catches - look at YPC

Moss - through lack of effort or decline in talent, needs to prove it once again - but a fine risk at $3 million and a 4th round pick.

If Welker were a 2nd round draft choice this year and has half the season he did last year for the Fins we'd be patting ourselves on the back for a fine selection at WR.

Gee Bob, I'll take all three please :D

I can't wait for you guys to see Welker play. You guys honestly think you get better value out of him than for Moss? Moss was once the game's best receiver, Welker isn't top 50.

And those of you who call the 60th pick a 3rd rounder, it's not, it was a 2nd round pick.

I don't think that. But what difference would it make anyways, we have both.

Dude stop. You're in denial.

I watched that kid burn us up and all I could do is admire him.

I swear on my children that watching a Pat/Fin game I said to my wife "God I wish that guy was on our team. He's special and seems like a Pats kind of guy."

I think YOU need to appreciate what you've lost.

He was worth everything we traded for him.

The Dolphins didn't have a Wr in the top 50 last season? Boy did you guys suck. He was your leader in receptions and return yards though?

I love the pick up. Most of all I like blue collared hard workers. They are so easy to cheer for.
