Ted Wells' Train Wreck Press conference :D

here is a classic

Asked about which gauge Walt Anderson used, Ted Wells associate Lorin Reisner said it “doesn’t matter.” Says it doesn’t change the science.

Look out, another public lie stated as unconditional fact. If Wells wasn't operating with a reckless disregard for the truth before, he definitely is now. More ammo for the lawsuit.

Ted Wells: “Patriots provided me substantial cooperation except in 1 critical & crucial area – I wanted to do a 2nd interview with McNally.”

Well this is going to get interesting, Kraft says he did FOUR interviews and declined a 5th in PERSON with an offer to do a phone interview, declined by Wells.

Wells said he would have driven to NH to do interview, initial 3 interviews were by NFL, only one by Wells.

I think the confusion arises from semantics. Or more accurately *misleading* semantics from Wells. I believe people from Wells' office did the first three interviews of Mcnally. Wells himself only did the fourth. So when Wells said "*I* wasn't allowed to do a 2nd interview with Mcnally" technically he's telling the truth. But in every other meaning of yhis statement he's also lying his a** off and he knows it.

Yee, Pats' lawyers and any Brady lawyers are gonna tear him a new one. I'll be surprised if his bar license isn't revoked after Yee et al expose all his unethical BS.

Wells has said twice that no one took the initial pre-game complaint/concern from the #colts seriously bc there was no hard evidence

He also admitted that the NFL paid him millions of dollars for this report. Of course Goodell wants to pay millions to get himself and his administration in deep hot water.

One would think that the very fact that the league office paid him for this report would indicate that he is not independent or objective in a conflict between the Patriots and the league. It's self-evident.

Erm...Ted Wells has just confirmed it was malicious use of process by saying nobody took the initial email seriously!

Also, everyone needs to mass report the clown to the NY BAR association.

Someone please ask if Wells plans to have a follow up call where people can fact check his statements and ask additional questions....as if I didn't already know the answer

Wells on why it was NOT a sting: "No one took the complaint that seriously, the complaint wasn't supported by any evidence."

Wells: "This was not a sting operation. It was just the opposite." #Deflategate

Well if the complaint wasn't taken seriously why the play gotcha during the AFCCG which led to this fiasco?

Don't get your hopes up. He'll claim he wasn't acting as a lawyer in this matter.

In fact, he has to claim that, because otherwise his independence would be called into grave doubt.

I can't fathom why Wells is agreeing to a conferance call/press report unless he's being pressured by the NFL to toe the party line and get with their program.

After all, Wells, despite his protestations to the contrary, is NOT an independent investigator. He was hired by the NFL for not just this report, but the Incognito/Miami report and the NFL's defense in the concussion lawsuit. He's bought and paid for by the NFL and is there to write the report that THEY want written, with the conclusions that the NFL wants. It's why he gets paid top dollars.

Wells knows full well where his bread and butter comes from, and he's not about to jeopardize that by saying something out of line with his master's desires.

I was wondering if Wells could lose his license, I can't imagine him ever doing a high profile investigation again that's for sure. He might work out a deal with a Goodell for another investigation to clear some other team/players name and not favor the NFL to prove his lack of bias.

"I was independent, for real!!! I swear!!!" Okay Wells, we'll trust you're telling the truth, just like you trusted Anderson's recollection of which gauge used, trusted Brady's testimony, and trusted the ballboys when they said their texts were humorous and not serious.

Oh wait, except you didn't trust any of those things and said they were all lies. So how the f*** do we trust you?

@MarkDanielsPJ
Wells: It's really a ridiculous allegation. What drove the decision in this report was one thing - the evidence.

That's absolutely rich. No what drove the decision was his focus on the "Pats did it" and ignoring all the other stuff.

In fact, he has to claim that, because otherwise his independence would be called into grave doubt.

And once he claims that wouldn't he lose attorney-client privilege for his communications with the NFL in the lawsuit that we all know is coming?
