Teams are outraged by what the pats did and not what the jets did. Therefore, right or wrong it is much more serious

Tampering with a player is much worse than "deflating" a football will ever be.

Can someone please post those 2 or 3 sentences that were buried somewhere near the end of the report that basically admits that they had no evidence?

I remember reading a very damning part of their report that clearly admits that they really didn't have much, but now I can't find it. Thanks.

My sentiments exactly. Lousy investigative work - no basis in FACTS. It's all the worst things about suppositions, accusations, sour grapes, and the mob mentality of know-nothing sports "journalists" that drove the "conclusions".
But, now, Goodell has a problem. He could do the right thing and tell the investigators they're full of crap... or he cave and punish Tom and the Patriots... for nothing! I really don't envy Goodell, especially since he's pals with Kraft. He'd be smart to give Tom a pass, with a statement along the lines of, "... we don't convict people in the NFL on suppositions or accusations alone... " or something like that. I think he'd gain a lot of respect by fighting off the mob mentality.

They didn't even really get results. Wells conclusions are not supported by his experts. His entire Brady conspiracy is based off hearsay that Brady complained about a ball that was 16psi. It would be funny, if it wasn't so insane.

If it wasn't the text messages it would have been something else. A witch hunt always finds a witch. The pats never had a chance in Goodell's reich. His goal since becoming commissioner was to bring down the Pats and raise up the Jets. Anybody that doesn't realize it now is in the words of Mr. Influence a total schmuck. Not so long ago, I was ridiculed for predicting that the Pats would be punished although innocent with a greater penalty that the Jets would receive for tampering. However, I did not realize the extent to which the fuhrer and his Jets gestapo would go. There isn't even a pretense of impartiality any more. I as also ridiculed for stating that the so-called Mr Influence lacked the willingness or ability to do anything to benefit his team. All I can say is that he has assumed the submissive posture again while his best player and his team is being dragged through the mud by his putative good friend. How can anyone defend the actions of an owner who lacks the cajones to stand up for the two people who made his team great. Maybe it 's time for him to play with the bimbo full time and let someone who actually will fight for the team take over.
