Can you imagine if your employer fired you for "more probable than not" of stealing from the company with no direct evidence of you actually doing it?

How big would that lawsuit be?

About $0.01. You can be fired for pretty much anything your employer wants to fire you for as long as its not your race, gender, religion, etc.

Also, "more probable than not" is the standard used in basically all civil cases. It's not some made up super-flimsy thing. So thousands and thousands of trial verdicts per year are based on "more probable than not".

I had a friend as a child. I couldn't tell you his name if you tortured me, but I'll know him by his nickname until the day I die (barring senility). We all, even his family, called him by his nickname. I'm not saying that's the case here. I'm saying that this stuff happens.

And it's worse when it's business. I go to conventions every year. I see the same people many times...know their faces, and bluff like hell over their names, because I simply cannot recall. on the other hand, since they are there working specifically (or at least partially) for my events, they know my name.

i find it very credible that Brady would know McNally by sight, maybe by first name, and have no idea of his full name.

I don't know. Goodell doesn't need evidence. He just needs to believe that he cheated to take actions. I think this give him enough to come down hard on the Pats.

I originally thought the Pats would found innocent or they would say it is inconclusive. But they spun it that the Pats did it, but they can't prove it. The public will call for the Pats' heads and Goodell over-reacts to the public sentiment. I expect him to come down hard on the Patriots.

Nothing will happen to Brady b/c the NFLPA will not allow it. Maybe Bob and the Pats will let this slide but there is no way on god's green earth the NFLPA will allow Emperor Pinhead to suspend a marquee player without any proof of wrongdoing.

Sorry for the new thread but need to get this out. 11 Balls were measured and based on the NFL's own hypothesis of 72 degrees in the locker room and 48 when measured, per math, a 12.5 PSI ball must deflate to 11.27 PSI. Per the halftime measurements taken by Dyrol Prioleau, only two were shown below this at 10.9 and 11.2. This does not factor in any change as a result of the cold rain.

Their own report matches the science behind this. I can't believe this is being spun the way it is.
