Imagine if the team drafted Malcolm Brown (RB) too... Our offseason would be full of flub-ups between Malcom Brown, Malcolm Brown and Malco(l?)m Butler. I don't even know anymore.

The Jets almost look as if they wasted the pick, which is bizarre to say when we're talking about them taking arguably the best prospect in the draft.

Right. I get that Wilkerson is on the last year of his contract and is unhappy, but he'll be in camp and on the field week one, and they have the money to pay him next year if they wanted to. He's the best 3-4 DE in the business, after all. Arguably (and I would argue yes) the best player in the draft fell into their lap, and they took him. Okay. But that team is so devoid of talent literally everywhere but defensive line and (now) cornerback that I can't, as objective as I can be with the Jets, christen this a good pick - even while I absolutely think Williams is the best player in the draft.

Any joke that needs explaining is not funny. I didn't get it either, and your explanation still doesn't make it funny. Oh well, humor can be subjective.
I don't care, I can't stand it!

You'll find my avant-garde typo-related humor much funnier if you read the Draft Forum religiously.

My quick Round 2 horizontal board.

QB - Petty
RB - Coleman, Abdullah, Yeldon and Duke Johnson
TE - Williams
WR - Strong, D. Smith, DGB and S. Coates
OL - Fisher, Cann, Grasu, Tre Jackson and Donovan Smith

DE - P. Smith and M. Edwards
DT - Goldman, Phillips, Jarrett, Bennett and C. Davis
LB - Gregory, McKinney, Kendricks, Perryman and P. Dawson
CB - PJ Williams, J. Collins, R. Darby and E. Rowe
S - L. Collins

This is not a comment that should be taken as relative to the Brown pick but considering the strong second round potentially, I'd have liked to have seen what BB would do with the two extra picks we might have had if that trade had happened.

We could have had #'s 51, 64, 82, 96, 97, 101.

Tomorrow would have been fun. Hopefully it still will be.

Hell no. Wait until 51? That's basically suicide. There's trading down, and trading down to basically the end of the 2nd beginning of the third. No way man.

For the last 5 picks I was trying to figure who was left and with every pick I was yelling at my TV "Team X take Gregory!" I figured if he made it down to us that BB would take him just to totally blow our minds.

It sucked so bad that all the top CBs went so early. It was a little surprising OG Laken Tomlinson went so early and LB Stephone Anthony went one pick before us. I figured they'ld both be 2nd rounders.

I'm pretty happy with Malcom Brown. Solid pick at a good position.

Oh, and on top of the AFC East, the Colts took a guy whose skillset and ceiling is... TY Hilton. If you're keeping score at home, the Colts already have a TY Hilton.

Who do you like more out of Williams and Darby? I think Williams but I could probably be convinced otherwise.

And yet the consensus is that's where the value in this draft is.

Still totally satisfied with the pick. Was hoping a front four DL (Dupree...) would somehow wash down within reach.

Wow, folks, easy on the judgement. We don't know this guy personally nor the circumstances or details of his relationships with his lady. He's on OUR team. I don't understand the rush to judgement. As one widely published person once said, "Let he who has not sinned throw the first stone"...

DGB and then a lineman. I don't care about the "take the top of not needed BS". You take what's going to make it easier for you to win. Like having a legit pass catching deep threat would derail this team. Him on on side. Gronk at times on the other side (hello Darelle time to meet game Gronk). Be filthy if he could catch on. Pun intended.

Perfectly stated. I like this forum so much more than others I've seen.

You understand that we can trade back up again if needed. The point of all those picks is that it would make moving around a lot easier. There's still a lot of talent in that second round and a lot of names that have been talked of as potential first rounders.

What consensus? Like BB just said mocks are worthless. Now, if you want to mess around with the picks from here on out, sure thing. Just seems to me, that's a loooooong time to watch names go by.

add Ali Marpet into the OL mix and that position is looking very strong. I'd be tempted to ensure we get Marpet and then draft La'el Collins with the compensatory pick. Those two picks would insure each other. I'd even be tempted to draft Jalen Collins and really go for an upside draft. That would, potentially, be four excellent starters if they all lived up to their ceiling.
