I think the issue here is you said they need a WR and maybe it just got over blown.
They do, and they have, since the end of 2008. Belichick knows this. He's been trying to fix it ever since. It's only some people on this board who can't seem to grasp the obvious.
2009 - Drafted Tate, signed Galloway, got stuck with Aiken
2010 - Drafted Price, brought Branch back after Moss presser (Gronk/Hernandez year 1)
2011 - Traded for Johnson/Ochocinco
2012 - Signed Lloyd
2013 - Brought in Jenkins and Jones, drafted Dobson and Boyce
2014 - Brought in LaFell
Year after year, Belichick shows that he feels WR is a need, even when he's running the 2TE system. Year after year, posters here insist it's not.
Now, I'm not advocating for Jones, who was cut. I'm not advocating for Marshall, who might be cut. I'm simply noting that WR is a need for the team. It's just the reality of the roster.
And that's the last I'll talk of this in this thread, since this is a thread about cuts.
