IF Wes Welker retires from NFL, will he sign 1-day deal with Patriots?

Wow, some of you are such bitter babies. It's embarrassing.

Welker is twice the receiver Amendola even 4 years older and in a half concussed state. If the thought that Danny Amendola is better than Wes Welker ever crosses your mind, whew, I don't know what to say. I don't even have an answer for that degree of cluelessness.

I don't know.

Amendola took awhile in our system, and maybe he was injured last year, but he was making catches that were straight up clutch as hell, and Randy Moss like in how acrobatic and insane they were.

Do I need to go find gifs?

I'll remember Amendola much more fondly than Welker despite his level of talent.

Let's recap:

I literally fell out of my chair when I read the title of this thread.

Welker is not even REMOTELY worthy of such treatment. I am shocked that anybody would propose this.

10000000000000000000000 times agree. I'd rather have this guy back than judas.

I don't think Belichick would let Welker cross the street if he was standing in a cross walk.
what a great line .. im gonna say that at a party or something, and take all the credit .. thanks .. :)

Cool stats. But I will counter argue with:

But, hey let's forget that our golden boy Tom Brady threw a bad pass on that play...

Some of you guys are just embarrassing, you in particular. Now I remember why I've steered away from message boards the last several years.

Hey guys screw that guy who put his body on the line 10+ times a game to make us happy and very possibly shortened his lifespan for our entertainment. He made the coach mad and dropped an extremely difficult pass, screw him!

Like a poster noted before, this is not me saying Welker retiring as a Patriot should happen. This is me saying the vitriol and willingness to completely ignore the past is downright embarrassing.

No. He has burned the bridge.

That was a very catchable pass. He was uncovered and it hit him right in the hands. Stop making horrible excuses for why he choked.

Did I hurt your feelings? Too bad. I dislike Welker, and I will continue to post about how much I dislike him.

Exactly. Ungrateful, bitter babies.

Welker, Postseason, 88 receptions on 116 targets (75.7%)
Amendola, Postseason, 14 recs on 22 tgts (63.6%)

Any more genius arguments?

Peyton Manning's numbers also look good in the postseason when you look at yards per game, completeion %, etc. But we all know what makes him a choker is his poor play in critical moments of the game. This is also what makes Welker a choker.
