We all know that there will be a lot of things contributing to the final outcome and this won't be like last years SB, so most likely we are getting a nail biter. So with that being said if a key matchup goes big to either side that it probably decides the game what will it be?

Of all the huge superstar, galactic battles the media will talk about for me it is without a doubt Blount (or our run game) vs the Seattle D-Line. Now i know you will have to throw eventually to win but therein lies my point. I think the possibilities that establishing dominance or even just a very effective run game over that D-Line are endless. The biggest one will be Play Action. I know Seattle has some of the smartest and most physical players in their secondary but i don't think they will be able to stop Tom hitting Gronk, Edelman, Lafell and even Amendola/Vereen on PA if Blount is able to do what Lynch does pretty much to every team.

I know the Seattle run D is not the Colts run D but in case people hadn't noticed that Eddie Lacy was running fairly comfortably on them until the Packers 'we're scared' gameplan kicked in so much so that even Starks got in on the act. When they were actually playing to win they kept Seattle honest and i have to say Rodgers was making it look pretty easy because of it. If the Pats can establish that with Blount/Vereen/Gray i don't see the most unstoppable receiver in the NFL in what's going to be good weather being slowed down and that's without bringing up this group of very reliable and clutch wideouts.

For me i think this is so much of an x-factor that i believe a big day for Blount = Pats win and that's no matter what kind of game Tom plays against that secondary.

We threw the ball a lot last time they met, but I expect some running to keep them honest--yes.

I think an attempt to establish the run will be needed.

Gronk will be the X factor

Josh McDaniels will be the x-factor. If we score points, I'm convinced we'll win and so far in the playoffs we've been scoring plenty of them, in large part down to some great gameplans and play calling. The Seahawks only scored more than thirty points three times in the regular season. Get us to thirty Josh!

Right, I think McDaniel's play calling will be the key. He had the Colts looking like a deer in the headlights. Obviously the Seahawks present much greater challenges and more reason for McDaniels to bring his 'A' game.

I think we have to get off to a fast start. And don't abandon the run. Slow start vs Seattle and we are dead. Also, the only big games we've lost recently, besides Baltimore, was because we abandoned the run. We passed 95% of the time because Baltimore's secondary sucks. Obviously Seattle's doesn't. I think we can run on Seattle, their d-line is small but fast. Play power football and they can be beaten. If we score 20+ we can win.

Offense: Danny Amendola; he's been this playoff run's Kinder Surprise.
Defense: Jamie Collins; the harbinger of death and destruction.
Special Teams: Matthew Slater; no big returns for you Seattle.
Coaching: Dave DeGuglielmo; the OL comes ready to play.

Cameron Fleming (again). He didn't finally come back from the last Colts game until this Colts game. Yeah, apparently he was "injured", or maybe some of that was by design. Line him up and dare Seattle to prove they can stop us.

If they can't it would be glorious!

Shane Vereen and screen passes. To slow the rush, the Pats should use lots of short screen passes.

If you check out posts #24&25 I thought he was going to be a big factor in the AFCCG. Turns out he was a force again. I don't think he'll catch a pass (one never knows with this team;)) but if he can help get Blount sprung against Seattle's formidable front 7 that could be HUGE.

As someone used to post often,

Just my .02 cents

I looked up the stats, and Jonathan stewart had 70 yards on 5.3 yards per carry. Lacy had 73 yards (before they decided to stop running him) so their defense can definitely be run on. if the pats can get the running game going with blount, that could be huge.

also, the ability of our front 7 to keep wilson in the pocket and stop lynch will be key

I think C. Jones is gonna have a good game. Seems to me he was having trouble getting to a spot but a more mobile qb is gonna be flushed out of the pocket a little more.

He will be rested...we need him to play a great game...

Really hard to throw screen passes with bobby Wagner covering running backs.

Provided the line gives brady time, Run gronk down the seams, send vereen into the flats and the middle of the field is wide open all night long.

Could be a huge game for wright and/or amendola.

Interestingly our last 2 Super Bowl we could't score more than 17 points. We had 2 weeks to prepare but the offense was shutdown,i wonder what will happen this time. the hawks shutdown Manning, Brees and Rodgers several times.

My worry is that I can't remember a SB where a dominant D lost. Bears..won; Ravens won...; Seahawks won.

To win OUR D needs to be the dominant one. Period. And the skill players are there for this to happen. Heck GB dominated Seattle's O for a good portion of the game.

Offense wins games. DEFENSE wins championships. We've lost with better offenses than the one we have now. If our D balls out we win, period.

The air pressure in the footballs, apparently.

I'll worry more about the offense as soon as I hear that Edelman is in a walking boot. Seattle's defense is very, very good, but they haven't been playing as well as it is being portrayed. There are a lot more chinks in the armor than there were at this point last year.

The X factor is James Devlin. If hes playing that means we are trying to run and thus have a chance. Also Blount runs better with him leading than without. So if hes out there its a good sign.

I would say the run defense against Lynch and Wilson will be the true X factor. If that is effective I trust in our secondary to take care of business.

But I thought that was a deflated ball that made the Patriots win says every uneducated moronic person who I want to punch In the face like I was twelve again.
