We all know that there will be a lot of things contributing to the final outcome and this won't be like last years SB, so most likely we are getting a nail biter. So with that being said if a key matchup goes big to either side that it probably decides the game what will it be?
Of all the huge superstar, galactic battles the media will talk about for me it is without a doubt Blount (or our run game) vs the Seattle D-Line. Now i know you will have to throw eventually to win but therein lies my point. I think the possibilities that establishing dominance or even just a very effective run game over that D-Line are endless. The biggest one will be Play Action. I know Seattle has some of the smartest and most physical players in their secondary but i don't think they will be able to stop Tom hitting Gronk, Edelman, Lafell and even Amendola/Vereen on PA if Blount is able to do what Lynch does pretty much to every team.
I know the Seattle run D is not the Colts run D but in case people hadn't noticed that Eddie Lacy was running fairly comfortably on them until the Packers 'we're scared' gameplan kicked in so much so that even Starks got in on the act. When they were actually playing to win they kept Seattle honest and i have to say Rodgers was making it look pretty easy because of it. If the Pats can establish that with Blount/Vereen/Gray i don't see the most unstoppable receiver in the NFL in what's going to be good weather being slowed down and that's without bringing up this group of very reliable and clutch wideouts.
For me i think this is so much of an x-factor that i believe a big day for Blount = Pats win and that's no matter what kind of game Tom plays against that secondary.
