Hate to be a downer but does anyone have any news on Stork and Browner?

Browner was in locker room after game..said he would be fine for next week. Good sign. No Stork in locker room

It's called hyperbole, but QB's do tend to have a long time in the pocket against the Pats.

Here's a question:

How good do you think Chandler Jones is? Top 10 player? Top 15?

Other pass rushers in the NFL still get pressures/sacks despite getting chipped just like Jones does.

No edge rushers from either team accomplished much in the game. No holding penalties were called. Coincidence? I think not.

Good call. there was probably holding all over the place. the refs let them play for the most part. A bad call on amendola catch IMO and non call on Gronk coverage, but overall pretty good. Revis got caught holding/pi a couple times.

Revis' PI was pathetic

Browner one was bad too. Torrey Smith MADE SURE to slow down and shove HIMSELF back into Browner. That's not football. It's cheap garbage. Flacco is a joke of a QB.
Any argument for those calls is blown out of the water by the fact that the officials didn't call a single PI against the Ravens.

I think we saw lots of unsung heroes/role player examples tonight who helped get this victory. Great to see!

Hooman, Amendola, Kline, Bolden, Harmon, Ryan, even Allen--with his ability to scoop up a couple of low snaps.

Awesome "team" win.

Comes from constant practice. You can thank Danny for that.

BTW, watching Suggs post game, how does a 32 year old man have that much ache?
Cough, riods.

That was the first flee flicker that I ever saw live!! My girlfriend is deaf in one ear. I LOST it!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Yeah, you could make a case for offensive PI there.

Of course there's a remedy. turn around, look for the ball.

The Browner "penalty" below. No way Browner has that much make-up speed to catch up and make contact... and neither does Smith have any reason to slow down like that. Although it was a nice catch and would've counted anyway with no flag.

I guess my point is that 1) I hate how these Ravens WRs are basically trained to draw pass interference penalties. No doubt they practiced this. 2) Refs made sure Ravens got every beneficial call or no-call.

Comically Browner propelled him into position to make the catch.

-Well, I predicted that it was gonna be an ugly game, but I never expected it to be one that ended in a shootout. As I stated in an earlier thread, I really do love it when oft-maligned players like DA, Harmon, Chung, and Wilson step up and make game winning plays.

-Concerned about Stork, I want our O-line to be as strong as possible.

-A blowout against the Ravens wasn't going to happen. I never, for a second, thought that this would be an easy game. That being said, I really pray that we blow the doors off of Denver or Indy. Getting to the AFCCG after a win like this one, only to fall to Luck or Manning would really piss me off. Fortunately, I think that both teams might be a bit easier to beat than Baltimore proved to be.

It wasn't pretty and for the most part, the Patriots did not execute but they did enough and that was good enough. Hopefully it is a kickstarter for this team. The D was putrid today. That simply won't do if the Patriots want to hoist number 4.

Now, given my above comments, a win is a win is a win. That's all that matters right now.

Aus, from down under, with the absolute spot on point.
I thought the Pats would win handily. The problem with that is I never suspected the run D would be that soft, I never suspected the Patriots would execute on D brutally badly at times (the simple blown coverage multiple times was hard to swallow). The Run D softness made Flacco's passing game be too down hill multiple times (repeated favorble down-distance scenarios).
I tell you what, that better be an aberration. This D front is not a pass rushing one. If they aren't a run stopping one too they are a glaring liability. I am going to chalk it up to it being limited to this game, hopefully.

Check out this photo from NFL.com(I posted it during the game thread). It's possible Ch Jones is being held there:

Ty Law didn't know we had this type of fight in us...

I guess he hasn't been watching too closely our team these past couple of years.

I thought his and Brown's points were well taken. they came out sleep walking. Of course they had great fight last year with the injuries, but it's sometimes easier to perform against all odds and expectations, than it is when you're "supposed" to do it. Great fight, but there's a loss somewhere down the road when you don't show up mentally until you're two scores behind.
