It's easy, and only takes a few moments. With Mazz, it's sometimes hard to tell which part is dumber, the part with the headset on it or the part with the cast on it."No. Revis doesn't get any credit because the Chargers went into the game deciding not to throw his way so you can't really tell how he actually did"
No, Mccourty is priority 1 and Revis is in a very close 2nd as priority 2
Ghostkowksi would be priority 3 but I think they'll just franchise him
Thank goodness Tom re-did his deal which seems to exchange larger but non-guaranteed dollars for better long term security.
I definitely agree with what you're saying, although I wonder if you meant this the other way around?
Brady received less/smaller money per year, but more-guaranteed dollars for better long term security. As a matter of fact, his total take in guaranteed dollars was directly comparable to the deal that Drew Brees signed, which was around 55 million dollars or so, even though Brees' was for a much higher AAV per year.
Brady made a nice sacrifice for the team in terms of helping to keep the yearly cap hit down, but he definitely made up for it in the guaranteed money, and as we know---it's all about the guaranteed money!
As crazy as I once thought it may be and still do, I'm beginning to start to think that we would pay the 20 million dollars if they cannot reach a reasonable extension that both parties would agree to.
They'll obviously be trying to hammer out an extension one way or another, but if it comes down to it, they are NOT going to let him go. Belichick is simply too smart to let him reach free agency.
The problem is that the decision must be made relatively soon IIRC--possibly at the end of the regular season, which certainly throws a wrench into the process.
@Miguel --can you clarify when the decision would need to be made in terms of the second year (20 million dollars) of the deal? Am I right in remembering that it's relatively earlier than most would think? Thank you.
Revis has demonstrated that money is his priority, he won't take a discount anywhere.
In a heartbeat
Good free safeties are extremely hard to find, just go take a look at the starters around the league and your mind will be blown at just how bad it is
Yes I saw Sanders. Revis is better and even tackles runners. He just doesn't talk about himself.
