"I've broken a lot of records, and set a lot of records — I've been playing for a long time and played well at times — it's never been something that I've been about"

I can't believe I am starting a Manning hate thread because I am usually trying to avoid them on here, but I just couldn't help myself here. To say that he isn't about records is just so laughable and hypocritical that it deserves its own thread.
Just a few points:
1. Ian Rapoport reported just a month ago that Manning wants to break records before he retires.

2. Manning is the only player I am aware of who actually choreographed his "victory lap". This was after setting the record for career TD passes.
3. In 2004, Manning played the last regular season game in order to break the single season touchdown record, and then he was taken out of the game immediately after. Sounds like he wasn't playing for the record at all.
4. In 2013, Manning played the last regular season game in order to break the single season yardage record, and then was taken out of the game immediately after. He broke the record by one yard. Must have been a huge coincidence.
5. In 2007 AND 2008. Manning played the last regular season game in order to surpass 4,000 yards (in order to add 4000-yard seasons to his resume), and then was taken out of the game immediately after.
6. In 2009, Manning played the last regular season game in order to gain exactly 4,500 yards, and then was taken out of the game immediately after.
7. In 2012, Manning played the last regular season game in order to gain exactly 400 completions, at which point he was immediately taken out of the game.
8. In 2013, Manning played into the second half in order to gain exactly 450 completions, at which point he was immediately taken out of the game.
9. In every season, but especially in his record setting years, Manning has thrown the ball deep in the fourth quarter during blowouts against lowly teams in order to pad his stats and break records.
