Blinkers or not, Adam Schein, the author, is a noted idiot.

Im not a fan of his and I know folks wont like the suck up article but most of what is said is entirely true. It was only to point out what should be obvious, they are a much better team than last year. Underestimating that is a mistake as a Fan.

He's a sensationalist. He only provides one view point. This article is idiotic just like predicting the Broncos as a 10 win team last season was idiotic.

Who said anything about underestimating the Broncos? I think they're a good team playing good football. What I don't think they are is considerably better than any Manning's teams the Patriots have whooped in the past. It may be the best D he's had but Brady's beaten better.

I've been impressed by the Broncos but I'm expecting a Patriots win.

Well a lot of folks. You may not be. This forum is just has a bunch of nasty types. Not speaking to you.

Of course god forbid you post an article not written by someone they dont like. My point overall in posting the article is that is does talk about things that are interesting and true, regardless of the writer, the facts are there. A lot of folks would like to ignore that.

I hope NE wins next week, I dont think they will, would love for someone to tell me why im wrong based on the current season, some facts and not speculation. Not historical records or last years game.

Sorry no-one is going to take that obvious bait.

OK so Im not trying to bait anyone, im just trying to see if anyone can explain to me why I would "expect" the Pats to win against what is clearly a better team right now. I would love to be able to share some of that with the Broncos fans in my office. But just saying the Broncos are not better is pretty silly and last years games and past stats dont prove anything this year so it really doesn't hold up.

I think the Pats look pretty good, but not as good as Denver right now. Yes thats why they play the game I get it.

  1. Rob Gronkowski, outside of a quadruple team, cannot be covered. Denver doesn't have an answer to Gronk.
  2. The Patriots OL is trending upward. Win the trenches, win the game.
  3. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, historically destroy Jack del Rio coached D's. Given the integration of Wright and LaFell, I expect the Patriots to put up enough points to win by attacking Denver's weak points on D.
  4. The Patriots Secondary matches up well with Denver's skill position players.
  5. The game is being played in Foxboro.

I think, because of gronks presence, he can essentially shift a 50/50 game to an almost sure win game. When the dude is healthy, he is just menace for a defense

There's only three other players (outside of QB's) in the NFL who can wreck a game on their own: Megatron, All Day and J.J. Watt. One could argue that a fully fit Gronkowski is the biggest difference maker of them all.

Gronk is a special player. He's also a 6'6 270 pound kid. That's what makes him great.

Couple things. What are Denver's week points on Defense, for me it would be the LB's only.

Second, I think the OL will struggle, but humor me, if they do then what happens when Brady doesn't have 4+ seconds in the pocket?

Third Hillman is super fast, our D cant tackle guys until after the line of scrimmage right (even Tedy mentioned that) so how does that factor, you bring up a safety and then...

Sheesh, perusing that article, one would think the 2014 Denver Broncos are one of those rarefied teams like the 1985 Bears or 1989 Forty-niners or 1995 Cowboys.

Once the blinders are off, one can see them for what they are: a very good team, albeit one that has weaknesses and can be had by other decent/good/very good teams on any given Sunday.

What are the weaknesses? Not trying to be a **** but how about a little more? I personally only seen one at LB, and even them Marshall has been playing lights out. I think maybe their O line might have a kink in it but Manning is getting rid of the ball sub 3 seconds every play.

  • Bradley Roby can be exploited,
  • Rahim Moore is average,
  • T.J. Ward cannot play in coverage,
  • The Broncos interior OL hasn't been as good as 2013,
  • Ryan Clady hasn't fully recovered from his injury issues and his play isn't at his normal excellent level, &
  • Outside of Von Miller, their LBs aren't much chop. Good system players but not game changers.
The Broncos are excellent on the Defensive Line and at their starting Corners. If the Patriots control the LOS, Brady can beat any defense.

I just wasted my time reading this article. Based on its content Denver should stay home and the Pats should get a day off. No sense playing this game Denver has it in the bag! OH I forget there is BB and TB, game on!!!!

Never did I say anything close to that. So your telling me that the Pats are the better team, right now. I know they play the game for a reason . But thanks for at least humoring me in reading the article. :)

If our D can't stop the run...Hillman will have himself a great game..over 100 if we don't change some things. If he has over 100 i think the pats lose...becasue that will mean the PA will be deadly for them
