That Detroit pick would f up the entire draft.

Also TB taking Thomas? I thought they would go Gaines Adams for sure if he was there and Calvin was taken.

From what I've seen most have Thomas rated above Adams. Bucs have a need their as well.

here's what I'm wondering while making this vote, should they draft a NT, DE, RB, or reach for an OT?

I'm voting:
1. Gaines Adams
2. Alan Branch
3. Adrian Peterson
4. Levi Brown

I'm not going to vote because I pick next but I was hoping Adams fell to me. I'm going to have to see what to do with the #6 pick now. I would have really liked there to be trades available because I think Washington will probably trade the pick since its their only pick in the top 4 rounds.

The voting period has come to a conclussion.

** With a vote of 3 to 2 Gaines Adams DE Clemson defeats Adrian Peterson RB Oklahoma

I would have loved to trade down to a team willing to give up picks for Adrian Peterson (can't believe he's still on the board here). After Gaines was taken Landry was the best impact player available IMO. I know the Skins already have Sean Taylor who's a stud but I think Landry can play SS in the NFL and out of the players available I thought Landry would have the biggest impact on the team.

I probabaly would have gone with Jamaal Anderson. Landry will be a good player, though.

Yeah I was stuck between Anderson, Landry, Okoye, and Hall. I probably should have gone with Anderson since its a bigger need for the Skins but I couldn't pass up on Landry as I think he's the better player overall. I would have loved to grab Peterson as well if the team didn't already have Portis. I've seen varying ratings on Anderson and I since the Skins signed Smoot it would have been a reach to take a CB that early.

With the offensive line and Chester Taylor I could not pass up the chance to select Adrian Peterson and give the young Quartebacks another very good friend.

I was torn between reaching slightly for Leon Hall or Levi Brown, but decided to select one of Petrino's own from ULouisville. Miami Dolphins now wish me well in their prayers at night....

Ah, didn't realize this had started. Oh well, made the pick I would have anyways.

Man I really hate you. Okoye was actually one of the guys I really coveted at the 9th spot. Oh well you made my decision a nobrainer though. The Phins needed OL help badly. Now they have it.
Okoye has way too much talent and upside to pass on if he had dropped to 9. Okoye plus Jason Talyor takes the Dolphins unit from one of the best in the NFL to a unit of sheer QB slaughter. Ah well.

I also considered sticking the Fish with Ted Ginn Jr. but the draft is way too deep in receivers to take him this early. Hey maybe he drops to round 2? :)
My other consideration was Patrick Willis. Pats fans be grateful! Let's see how far he slides...
BTW you other GM's slated to draft on Monday feel free to pick now if its your turn!!

Still no love for Brady Quinn. How low can he go....

(Edit: My bad. Thanks Gomezcat)

Maybe he will, maybe he won't ;)

I'm fascinated to see that Alan Branch and Patrick Willis are still on the board, as well as Jamaal Anderson. There have been some good picks so far, though.

All The pats fans hearts just broke with the 11th pick

I would really, really HATE it if the Colts got Ted Ginn at #32. That wide receiver lineup would just be flat out unfair. LOL.

They would have a ton of very mad fans since they would have absolutely no one on defense.

 And Frisco passing on Branch or Carriker leaves Willis to be mauled by wild OL the way their other LBs were. Remember it's evil old Uncle Heatster making the call!

Regets of voting against trades....Who knew the draft would go so smooth? I have plans for the Saints if they are trade inclined.

By the time 27 comes 'round, things are going to get interesting.

Mental notes: Heatster is savvy, cunning. Not to be trusted within a knifepoint stand-off. Alternates between brutish, almost maniacal honestly, and the shy, calculated mind-control of an ingenue with his cooing and coddling.

/tips beer to HST, regets knowing that the draft has changed from call-it-in to tying my own shoes...

ha! my R button sucks!
