Hey "skaIownsIyou"? Just wondering but what's the reason you passed on Lynch at 16th overall?

I think we got a steal at 17. I cannot believe anderson was there. Now I just need to convert him to qb.

no need to rush me, rules state that i have until 10 pm april 10th, and we all agreed upon....

Nice pick talentwise. Nelson doesn't get by the Jags imo. I was thinking Packers would take Ginn or Lynch to help Brett for his sayonara season though.
It's gonna be interesting to see how far those 2 guys drop.

It will be interesting to see how our draft compares to the real thing. Usually you see some surprises that none of the experts are forecasting. So far our mock has successfully followed that unorthodox tradition.

i was really torn between 4 players

olsen, ginn, lynch and nelson(or another db, probalby cb)

most mocks and experts think that lynch should be the best fit for the packers

i dont dispute that, i was actually going to take lynch when i first heard about this mock draft and got the packers

but after doing some research i found out some key things

ahman green was the work horse- carried the load in the backfield..and herron backed up him

with green gone, well lynch is the best choice? but at cal, lynch split carries with jjarrington and another hb last year...

herron is good imo, and it wouldve been good to have lynch and herron as the packers two back system, as we're seeing more of, but the packers secondary, minus the corners in harris and woodson, are terrible....

so far, my choices were lynch and nelson, as he's my favorite safety behind landry of course

we also have ted ginn jr. who i'm surprised slipped this far already, the packers dont have a return specialist, except for greg jennings...greg jennings had a good rookie season, and i'm expecting him to play opposite of donald driver....

taking ginn wouldve been a smart move as he woudl be the dynamic return specialist, and it would give jennings an oppurtunity to focus more on the offense, let him catch a breath sort of after the punt or kickoff....driver's getting old, so i'd like jennings to stay as healthy as possible, so drafting ginn would not only open up the deep ball, as favre loves it, but it would also mean that jennings wont be on the field, less of a chance to get injured

and i wanted olsen as martin is gone, and franks is not deep threat that olsen couldve brought at the TE position...

my top choices for the first pick were

1. olsen TE
2. ginn WR
3. lynch RB
4. nelson S

1. olsen's gone so cant take him,
2. the WR depth in this year's draft is big, so, it was CJ in the first round, or go another WR in the later rounds,
3. peterson and lynch are 1 and 2 as the RB's respectively, then the RB class drops in talent, but there are still some good RB's that can be utitlized as a weapon that can be picked up in round 2 or 3, lynch also has some off the field issues, so i went to my 4th choice
4. nelson who isnt a laron landry but is in the higher class of S

with a big class at WR, and good class of RB's lead me to take nelson at S

Fair enough.

I like the Nelson pick and it will be interesting to see how far the other player falls now (smile)

IMO the person who picks should email the next GM to alert them they are on the clock. (Thats what I did)

yeah, and also, i just noticed,

as by herron, i meant morency lol...my bad...

Good idea. We are ahead of schedule which is a good thing imo. If we finish early we might be able to expand this draft to a full 7 round affair.

yeah i was totallly not expecting to be on the clock for a while
and it turns out i was on for half a day

Hey "skaIownsIyou"? Just wondering but what's the reason you passed on Lynch at 16th overall?

i contemplated lynch at 18 with the bengals, but with chris perry as backup and too many holes on defense i jus couldnt do it, the only offensive player i woulda taken was greg olsen (well obv calvin johnson too or adrian peterson too)

as for my pic i was debating between jon beason, marshawn lynch, chris houston, and adam carriker
even though the bengals would prob take beason out of that bunch, personally i feel theyd be better off with carriker, who could help control the line of scrimmage
its not like they have a stout defensive line

so, who u think the pats are hopin for right now?
i dont think lynch will fall past the titans and giants
chris houston perhaps?

Path to the Draft no longer notices Revis, it's Houston and Hall battling for #1 CB. How did you figure the Bengals for Carriker?

At 24 i really think the Patriots are going to go with a safety. My pick is still Griffin and its a really smart decision no matter what way you think about it.

Safety really does seem the most likely avenue. There seems to be good value for that pick at that position.

With Justin Smith on the franchise tag, it's not a bad pick at all.

plus, he's the only good defensive lineman on that roster
and we all know how important the dline is
plus marvin lewis should too
