What a fun game to watch. One of the most enjoyable in a long, long time.
A few quick thoughts:
1. I loved the attitude and the intensity. The team was obviously pissed off and didn't want to take hostages. Many of the penalties were bogus, but I didn't mind a few penalties due to over-aggressive play - in some ways, better than being passive and getting pushed around. I believe that the more physical and aggressive team generally wins. If the Pats can channel this level of aggression and keep cleaning up the fundamentals, they should be ok.
2. The Pats have plenty of "skill players" if the OL plays well, and no amount of talent at the skill positions will matter if the line can't block.
3. Love seeing the TEs involved. Tim Wright has 9 receptions on 10 targets so far this season. I hope he becomes a staple of the offense. Gronk clearly isn't 100% yet but is getting some confidence back. It would be a huge boon to be able to reprise 2010-2011 with the TE emphasis.
4. I don't think I've ever seen Shane Vereen run so well. He's been a great receiver, but I've never seen him so quick and dominant. Chris Collingsworth mentioned Barry Sanders, and while that's too close to divinity for my taste, there were some pretty sweet moves. I love it when the running game gets going.
5. Bryan Stork looks really solid in the middle. He doesn't get pushed back. I like Wendell much better at guard, where his drive blocking can come into play.
6. Decent defensive performance with a number of key players out or banged up.
