CJF, Martin & Kirksey all gone in quick succession...urgh.

maybe belichick took Garappolo and will hold onto him until BOB gives up Houston's first rounder next year?

lol for some laughs check out the Texans message board. They are PISSED at us for taking Garoppollo.

Damnit. Kirksey gone. Browns having a very nice draft.

Vikings select Scott Crichton

But if he is their guy..you have to take him no? If you wait until next year...year 2...3 years from now and their guy isn't there..would you rather them force a pick on someone who they are 50-50 about?

I agree with you that we must have really liked him, but I would have just gone for the more immediate impact player. Martin, who San Fran just picked would have looked nice in a Pat uniform.

Browns need a WR..bad

browns still no wr,surprising

upset we missed martin

Garropolo ran a 4.94 at the combine. That being said, he's a POCKET QB,

I'll take your word for it. Maybe Lindy's is using his Pro Day number. Or they just got it wrong.

But that said, you are right about him being a pocket passer and he certainly looked like Carl Lewis compared to Brady's 5.28 40 combine time.

If you believe the reports, and that Bortles would have been their pick, then this guy isn't "their guy". He's "a guy".

at this point, i hope we get daquan jones.

..6th round flyer on lyerla?

I think I'm becoming resigned to the fact that we're gonna go into the season with Mallett and Garappaplaoopalapopala.

Seeing Mallett go into FA and getting nothing for him will make me sad.

KT and Boyce weren't gonna make any difference, let's face it. KT was basically ineffective, injury or no, after his TD against the Saints.

Our WR's are not play makers and game changers. Dobson could be really good but everyone else is just pretty good or average. Our offense is not any better than it was, unless you see major second year jumps from AD and Boyce. I anticipate one from AD.

Not true man. These guys are all gonna make the second year leap and be effective, especially Dobson. They are rookies, I was happy with there production last year. The fact you think someone will be a rookie at TE or wr and beat any of our guys is a fantasy.

Again how did Seattle win the SB? How did we win the 3 SB's? How did most champs Win the SB?? Top defense and clutch offense. Heck Montana had a stout D to back him and jerry rice up and a good offense.

An efficient offense and a great d will be better then a top offense and a good d or a historic offense and bad d IMO.

Well he is how i see it (defending the QB pick).

@ 62 no big time impact TE was there. There were good OL there but this is a deep OL draft and we can get a good one @93 (like Maybe Swanson or Gabe Jackson). We could have got WR but that is deep too so no point reaching now. LBs will fall to us in the 3rd and 4th as those are deep as well.

Really it was gonna be a reach pick or a pick where we could have got similar value later in the draft.

The thing we lost the most was CJF but that was a reach anyway at that point. He would have been dependable but not a game changer.
