OSU's Bradley Roby charged with DUI (OVI in Ohio)

The obvious question is how far will he fall now?

Excellent. He falls directly to the Patriots in the 7th round a la Dennard.

He falls to the 2nd round at worst, I'd think.

DUI's with a blood alcohol content of .08 (the borderline) are much different than assault charges on an officer.

Mods, Feel free to merge with the thread in the main forum. I'm not sure which one was started first, but I assumed that this was the forum for this kind of news.

Shades of Dennard. Saw a mock today that had him going 10th overall. Mocks don't mean anything but I believe he'll fall down some now.

Any team that takes him round 1 or 2 is nuts ...
Arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery following a bar altercation in Bloomington, Ind. July 2013. Was suspended for 2013 season opener. At Combine, had five bad attempts at three-cone drill and then walked away from drill. Needs to mature and become more accountable.

Ok he is going to drop now odds are the pats will draft him now we always seem to take chances on people like, that is not a bad thing at all I like it until the player fails.

"His BAC test registered a negligible .008 and after further testing at the police station, he was very quickly released on his own recognizance."

That's about a cap full. If that # is correct and he was not moving the vehicle his case will be dismissed. Sounds like he had a few and slept it off. It'll hurt his draft stock of course, but it looks more like bad timing. I would agree with early 2nd as he generally is regarded around the 5th best CB or so everywhere.

I was not aware of his history of trouble, that changes things a lot the DUI could be the straw the breaks the camels back. I would say third or fourth round.

As they said at Shakespeare's massage parlor "Aye, there's the rub!"

If it was only this, then yeah, no big deal. But there's been enough other small things to question is judgement. The NFL is one of the most exclusive clubs and his personal behaviour isn't helping his resume at this point.

Like I said, he has some solid talent, but that isn't worth squat if you can't be trusted to stay out of trouble off the field.

Don't know much about the guy, but NE in the past, has acted more along the lines of a team more concerned with a bad or selfish attitude than a one time (if that's all it is) 0.08 dui or other such youthful mistake... all things being relatively equal of course.

One would think that as the draft approaches, you'd have the common sense to reel it in a bit. Then again, I can't say that I haven't done all of these things myself--and much worse, at that age. The kicker is that I wasn't awaiting a several million dollar payday though.

Yup. I was once young and immortal too. I'm paying now for the alleged sins of my youth, but man....... you'd seriously think that someone looking for a multi-million dollar payday and the NFL Glam lifestyle would have someone around him saying "slow down!"

Absolutely.

He could be set for the rest of his life with the several million (or more) dollar payday that he'd see from a 1st/2nd round selection. That's a big difference from the situation that you and I were in at that age.
