NFL Schedule Release Date???

They aren't announcing the schedule until tomorrow or Thursday. No offense, but I will take these schedules being posted with a grain of salt especially when it has the Pats playing AFC divisions in blocks back to back to back.

That's a really tough schedule, but I guess we have known that for a while now. What I like is a reasonable bye week (8). What I hate is ending the season with 2 division road games.

The one thing that stands out to me is that I doubt Manning and Brady play each other in week 7. That is mid October. They usually play during the sweeps period from October 31st (ish) to late November for the ratings aspect. From 2005 through 2010 they played in November. The past two years they played Denver in November why would they change that to mid-October now? The networks can play it up as potentially being the last time they play each other etc...

Edit: I see that Jmt57 already pointed out the sweep period...I should have read the whole thread first.

I'm taking it with a grain of salt because he has 1 game on Thursday September 4th and then 15 games on Sunday the 7th

I don't think it is a real schedule. He has the Pats playing the entire AFC East in a three week stretch towards the beginning of the season immediately followed the entire AFC West in a five week stretch (with a bye week in it). I don't think they would schedule it like this. I know they are trying to give teams division games at the end of the season, but I have never seen a team where a stretch of an entire half of the season is only two divisions.

Much better. :)

It looks reasonably legit and I guess we'll see. Not enough for me to start booking travel, but certainly worth generating conversation. I can't help but notice a Thanksgiving game for NE again...

I highlighted a portion of that schedule, right clicked and performed a google search.

There were two hits: this forum, and something called BodyBuilding.com.

I'm guessing that site is about as reliable for NFL information as Incarcerated Bob is.

Also, SF finishes the season with three straight road games? Why do the 49ers have to play the Seahawks at Seattle twice, in weeks 2 and 17? And who is Washington playing in week 11, the Denver Nuggets?

That schedule is such bs.

Last season week 1 there was only 2 AFCvNFC games, in '12 there was 4, in '11 there was 2, and in '10 there was 2.

This has 8. Sorry but that isn't happening.

I reposted this onto BB.com

Did you at least check with Erika Leigh on this?

Just to clarify: this is your prediction as opposed to something you found reported elsewhere, correct?

Week 17 of the "schedule" is wrong. Will be all division match ups again.

PFT and CBS Sports picked up a Jason La Canfora tweet as confirmation from the NFL that the schedule will be released Wednesday at 8:00 pm; haven't seen anything on NFL.com yet.

2014 NFL schedule to be released Wed. at 8 p.m. ET - CBSSports, com

Because the NFL has fashioned itself into a year-round spectacle, every event, no matter how seemingly meaningless, now takes on the same importance usually reserved for high-profile get-togethers (like, say, the NBA playoffs).

That's right: The NFL will announce the 2014 schedule Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on the NFL Network because, well, they can.

If you thought Day 3 of the NFL Draft was boring (seriously, the league has made watching an old guy in a suit read names off a card for eight hours must-see TV), this is worse.

Then again, that's the NFL's plan: Remain a storyline, even when the season is four months off.

NFL will release schedule on Wednesday night | Pro Football Talk

One last bit of non-coincidence: the NFL schedule will be announced at the same time that Mark Cuban's NBA team will be tipping off for a playoff game. I'll be interested in seeing the ratings for the two.

Best 2014 inter-conference games, in no particular order:

AFC East vs NFC North
Patriots at Packers (Brady vs Aaron Rodgers)
Lions at Patriots (Calvin Johnson, Darrelle Revis)
Bears at Patriots (Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery)

AFC North vs NFC East
Eagles at Colts
Colts at Cowboys

AFC West vs NFC West
49ers at Broncos
Cardinals at Broncos
Broncos at Seahawks (Super Bowl rematch)
Seahawks at Chiefs
Chiefs at Cardinals
Chiefs at 49ers (Alex Smith vs former team)
Seahawks at Chargers
Chargers at Cardinals
Chargers at 49ers

AFC North vs NFC South
Panthers at Bengals
Bengals at Saints
Saints at Steelers
Steelers at Panthers
Panthers at Ravens (Steve Smith vs club that let him go)
Ravens at Saints

After last seasons game in Foxboro, I'd be willing to bet a lot of money that the Broncos come here no later than mid-October. They won't allow Manning to play us in another potential cold weather game after the comments that came from it, and more importantly Manning not liking hearing them.
I'd venture all of his cold weather away games are in the first 6-7 weeks.
This'll b a Sunday nite game during the "sweeps" period; whenever that is

I was thinking the same things..a bucketlist thing

I am looking forward to seeing the Patriots schedule tomorrow. We know they'll end with a divisional game but the non conference scheduling will be interesting. The NFC North was no joke last year. I wonder what kind of attitude the Lions will have on the field with Schwartz gone and Caldwell in.
