Prisco throwing out some bombs on EEI

This all comes from YEARS ago when she objected to the Pats drafting a kid who was accused of RAPING someone. I think she might have had a point.. To the Pats credit they never signed the kid.

Who was the player? And when did this happen? Now you got me all curious wanting to know how this all turned out.

It was Christian Peter in 1996. And it wasn't just for rape. Peter had a long history of trouble with the law. By the time he was drafted, he had already spent 18 months on probation after pleading no contest to sexually assaulting a former Miss Nebraska. He had been arrested for trespassing, urinating in public, refusing to comply with the order of a policeman and threatening to kill a parking attendant. He was also accused of raping two female University of Nebraska students.

Surprisingly, he doesn't play for the Bengals (yet).

That was back when a college/NFL player who harmed another human being might actually face some consequences.

Ah, memories.

No, but that could be the reason why Belichick is (allegedly) only signed to one year contracts. If he signed a five year $50m contract tomorrow and his wife divorced him, she'd bank $25m off the top of that. If he's on a one year $8m contract every year, she can only take half of the $8m because that's all there is. Then they can work out what she'll get off of any new deal. Regardless of that, it would be significantly less than 50% of it.

They ARE divorced.

Read where Seymour is not participating in off season workouts, have offseason workouts even begun?? Thought they started the end of the month?

Kraft firing Belichick. Good luck with that. Patriots nation would be ready to send him to the gallows the day Bob dared to do such a thing. Firing Bill would just be nuts, not saying Bob has considered it as he problably hasnt.

THey start this coming MOnday.:p

Prisco obviously didn't read the Globe article on BB a few weeks back. http://www.boston.com/yourlife/articles/2007/03/04/after_a_bruising_year_belichick_opens_up/

Kraft said he hadn't talked with BB about the off-field stuff and was quoted as saying he tries not to judge people because you never know what's going on with someone's personal life. But that he did know that after football the most important thing to BB was family and he respected that.

Also BB said he was divorced. It was official last summer. This is a done deal and they managed to keep it quiet and congenial. I just read an article where BB is incredibly complimentary to the former Mrs. B and saying how lucky he was that she did such a great job raising the kids.
Thank you, Hoodie!! These people need to get their BB personal facts straight before they post on this board ;)

I heard that Bill Belichick hates himself.

Thank you Patsacolachick. I was beginning to think that people were ignoring me.

And one more thing -- the NFL has coaches who have been arrested for solicitation, have driven buck naked thru drive through fast food windows, have been arrested for drunk driving and players who've been accused of much, much worse.

BB gave some money to a married woman. Is that really so bad?

I'm not going to blast BB for this, I take Kraft's approach. Hard to judge people. But I'm not going to defend him either. Is messing around with a married woman bad? Is that what you're asking? Well, of course it is. In general, I think 99% of people agree with this... except for the swingers.

Who, from the sounds of it, was already separated when the $ started coming in. Unfortunately too many people like to stand in judgment when they only have partial facts and rumors :enranged: :enranged:

My point is this, all we KNOW is that BB gave her money. You can make all sorts of assumptions about why he gave her money but we don't know if they were "messing around" as you say. I admit it looks bad but we don't know the truth. Anything else is an assumption. And you know what happens when you assume.

I'm not a big fan of either side of an adulterous affair, but the bottom line is that it's not the single person's responsibility to remain faithful to the married person's spouse.

100% of the blame falls on the married person, for if Single Person A doesn't hook up with him/her, he/she will just move on to plan B.

I heard that sniggling little piece of you-know-what on EEI. He obviously was putting his own spin on it and hoping to be credited for stirring up some controversy. I was surprised they didn't announce that they saw Borges feeding him tips in the parking lot before he came on.

I think it is the 3rd consecutive year at least that he hasn't paticipated. It is really not uncommon for Pats veterans to workout away from Gillette. Ty Law always did it. Roman Phifer did it. Troy as well.

I'm sorry, but it doesn't matter what Seymour has done in the past, in fact it doesn't matter what Seymour actually does or doesn't do, or says or doesn't say.

Clearly, Seymour's comments about Dungy actually have nothing to do with the respect he has for Dungy as a man and a coach, in fact it has nothing to do with Dungy at all, please let's not be that blind. It is all a thinly veiled attempt to convey his seething hatred and contempt for Belichick. He won't participate in workouts because the very sight of Belichick makes him ill, and he will be leading the parade the day Kraft fires him.

We all know everyone on the team hates Belichick, would murder him in his sleep if they got the chance, and Seymour has made his own hatred well known. Not in word or action, maybe, but we all know it's true. Clearly.

Look, I have better things to do than scavenge around in BBs bedroom, but he was married as well, and he met her in the 80s while at the Giants.

You admit it looks bad? Um, these two met back in the 1980s when BB was with the Giants. I'm not making all sorts of assumptions, either. I'm only making one. Because absolutely no other one comes to mind.

Let's just get past this people. It's not important. BB is a football coach. I don't care. All I wrote initially was that I wasn't going to defend this behavior (which is what your post is doing).
