Not to get ahead of us but we have discussed the AFC picture in detail but I am curious who you all would least want to face if we make it to the Super Bowl?

This is my rank (least to most)

1. Seattle Seahawks
2. Green Bay Packers
3. New Orleans Saints
4. San Francisco 49ers
5. Carolina Panthers
6. Philadelphia Eagles/Dallas Cowboys

Many might disagree with the Packers but Rodgers is back and he and Brady are 1A and 1B in terms of best QBs in the NFL and Brees is right there with them too.

I like Wilson a lot personally; I think he is an exceptional QB. The other QBs Kaepernick, Newton, and Foles/Orton I am not sold on.

This is the kind of thread that shows up on other boards and makes us look like obnoxious A-holes.

One game at a time ... the next one.

If we make it (i don't want to jinx us), I would love to face San Fran.

I agree.

I'd prefer to face one of the losers from Wild Card Weekend, rather than a team that will at that point have won 2 or 3 straight playoff games.

Unfortunately, I won't get my wish ...

I hope Seattle makes it to the big party for the NFC.

I don't care much who it is if not them.

I’m sorry Icy I wasn’t trying to get ahead of myself I was just curious what people thought of the NFC playoff teams. I edited my OP but if you feel it is a worthless thread you can delete, I didn’t mean any harm so whatever you think is best I can respect. Have a good night and Happy New Year buddy :)

It's not my place pal but to offer advice as a regular member.

What would Belichick think of such a thread?

Normally I'd indulge you with this thread.

However.... this season is a truly "let's take it one game at a time" season.

There's something going on this year with the universe, where the less arrogant we are, the better we do.

None of us talked about rings in 2001. We were just grateful for every impossible win.

For me this year is that all over again. This is the first season since 2007 that I've been humble and not my typical overly arrogant Patriot loving self. I've enjoyed it.

The season has been a sheer joy.

Hoping for a story-book play off run, but we shall see!

You're right. I have to start watching game tape of potential divisional round opponents and get to Gillette tomorrow to hit the weights. I wouldn't want to upset coach.

Seriously, who cares? We're FANS. Why do we have to take it one game at a time? My list...

1. Seahawks
2. Panthers
3. Packers
4. Saints
5. 49ers
6. Eagles/Cowboys

Re: NFC team you’d least want to face if we are fortunate enough to make the Super Bo

I just think the universe has punished us for our arrogance too many times in the past. 2007. 2008. 2009. 2010. 2012.

I think we should leave the premature Superbowl talk to the Bronco idiots this year and practice humility going through the post season for a change.

It's only weird if it doesn't work, right?

The '85 Bears.

Seriously, we're going to have to play whoever comes out of the wild card weekend and go from there. No matter who you pick, you play the team that's there.

Analyzing the teams that are left might be interesting, but fortune telling isn't, to me, at least.

I believe the only team we can beat is Cincinnati, Kansas City or Indy, right?

I agree but Panthers are way to high on your list Kon lol. We know that team.

1. Seahawks
2. Packers
3. 49ers
4. Saints
5. Eagles
6. Panthers

The '85 Bears.

You had to go there ...

Re: NFC team you’d least want to face if we are fortunate enough to make the Super Bo

I'm sorry, but I can't help but roll my eyes at the 'one game at a time' stuff. 'What would Belichick think'? That we are fans..

1: Seattle
2: San Fransisco
3: Philadelphia
4: Carolina
5: Green Bay
6: New Orleans

Re: NFC team you’d least want to face if we are fortunate enough to make the Super Bo

I don't see anyone betting the Seahawks at home so I say they come out of the NFC, but if the pats make it I think playing the packers would be a fun game

Re: NFC team you’d least want to face if we are fortunate enough to make the Super Bo

I think the Seahawks are the best team in the NFC and should make the SuperBowl, however that isn't exactly the question. I think we'd match up the worst with the 49ers, compared to the Seahawks.

1) 49ers (least want to play)
2) Sehawks
3) Packers
4) Panthers
5) Saints
6) Eagles (most want to play)

I agree whole heartedly. Being an obsessive and unrealistic fan I've been far too disappointed with the lack of a Super Bowl victory the past few seasons.

For the first time in awhile, I can honestly say that I don't need the SB victory for this season to be considered a success (though it would be really really nice).

They have been so enjoyable to watch this regular season that I consider it a success already. Now I'll just enjoy the ride however long it lasts.

NFC team you’d least want to face if we are fortunate enough to make the Supe...

To me, I could give a $h!t really. All I know, is take it 1 play at a time. Execute each play, each quarter and guess what, before long you are in the SB. 12 quarters of football are left, just take it one step at a time.

Re: NFC team you’d least want to face if we are fortunate enough to make the Super Bo

I'd say
1. Seahawks
2. Packers
3. Saints
4. 49ers
5. Panthers
6. Seagles
